Please please don't say anything - I'm two episodes behind and am catching up in the next couple of days....

I still watched them all haha, I think I got to half time in the Hawthorn game though and stopped. That was brutal.
Bloody oath it was. Never experienced anything like it.

I went with my girlfriend, her family & friends...all hawthorn....in the hawks members......
You deserve a medal or some sort of recognition. That game was a nightmare, only one I've ever turned off.

Let's just say numerous Fat Yaks and having the internet on your phone helped. I did proceed to walk to the nearest pub at 3/4 time tho. I really hope that was rock bottom for us.

Anyone seen Clarkeys eulogy today? Pretty bloody tough. Had to do one 3 years ago for my old man, found it incredibly hard, even though his passing was a relief in the end...to have someone taken so tragically, playing the game they (we) love makes it particularly hard IMO.

Clarkey has won my respect forever!

Lost my mum this year, inconsolable for about 2 months afterwards so, I don't know how some of them will be playing cricket soon personally.

Just clarifying since I was at work when posting this.

To this day, I still visit her grave every Friday after work and spend a good 20-30mins informing her of the week, thinking about it still makes my eyes water but at least I'm not crying myself to sleep like I was. So in the event that any of those guys are even feeling a little like I was when it happened, they'll play cricket in this sense, their heart will be in it, but mentally they'll be so very far away, and in the case where it's a relation or you consider them as such and you're an emotional sort like I am, it's something you don't "get over" or something that doesn't simply cease being a thing. You simply look at that dull ache with fondness of the good times instead of unabashed sorrow.

I think you were the lucky one. You missed the whole dial up era with a ten minute log in and pages that could have been conceptualised, edited and printed before they loaded.
