I was at the Gunn Island Hotel in Middle Park, years ago, the night he gave his missus a whack... Didnt see the incident but saw the aftermath with friends of his trying to cool him down & restrain him from belting anyone or anything near him. He's a very very scary individual, one who i say has that 'crazy' switch inside his brain, normally triggered by excessive piss-drinking

Anyone watching Roland Garros? Was good to see both our young Aussies makes it to the 3rd round, but a tough deal to have to face the #1 and #3 in the world. Give them a couple years and I reckon they'll be a decent chance at grabbing more than a few games off them.

Guess now we gotta see if Novak can finally get his career grand slam, or does Nadal make it number 10!?

Think I'm gunning for Novak, just.

Djokovic is an A-grade flog

He always looks in pain & is always 'testing' out his ankles between points, yet during a rally, he's 100% fine & pain free. I'm a harsh critic, but id actually love him to do a grade-4 strain on his ankle (a really bad one) some day as vicious karma for all the times he 'cries wolf' playing his mind-games

As a sportsman I'd agree on the Djoker, he plays it up as much as Nadal tries to remove items from his sphincter, but as a person I dunno,he seems the jovial sort and a decent sort when you take him away from the sporting arena, so I've always warmed to him above Nadal, who frankly if he can't find comfortable undergarments perhaps he should just commando it to stop everyone looking at his arse several times during a match.

Sad to hear of Joan Kirner's passing. :( In honour of the great woman, here's one of my favourite memories of her, and indeed any Australian politician.

Ray - played on the wing ... work rate was tremendous.
Saunders - had a day out … covered a lot of ground both defensively and offensively.
Curren – (did) what we asked him to do … can play on-ball, but we had him forward.
Ross - solid game with plenty of grunt work in the clinches … our highest clearance player.
Minchington - not as much through the midfield (this week) … good in the clearances and looked really dangerous.
Wright - solid … some good run … needs to be mindful on defending a crumb.
Goddard - our best defender … held his own all day.
Simpkin - another good game … on offense is trying to get used a little bit more.
Gilbert - gave us some good run off half-back (as well as) leadership and direction.
Lee - quieter day … playing on bigger opponents … great effort … ball use was pretty good.
Membrey - put on great pressure and was a real presence.
Murdoch - didn’t have a massive game in terms of numbers, but he used the ball well.
Pierce - stepped up when Paddy went down injured and had a good game.
Holmes - work at ground level was excellent.
McCartin - was looking pretty dangerous.
Baker-Thomas (dev) really improved … positioning and reading of the play was really good.
Payne (dev) - played up forward … good game and is continuing to develop nicely.
On a side note, Squizz, is your avatar Mr Furious?

I'm willing to have this discussion with you, but I think we should deal with it like two people who respect ....

Look buddy - I was up all night trying to defend the (forum) from evil.

Ooooh, I guess all the junk (in the megathread) is ruined by now ...

Just be thankful for stress balls.

Easily one of my favourite movies, actually. I love the whole superhero genre (as a few of us were talking about the other day), and this loveable parody is pretty hilarious at times.

Gee, it's not as shabby as I would have thought. Not the best tall forward line, but aside from that, serviceable.

Lots of delisted full list players rookied in that one!

I suspect the list isn't that impressive when they are removed.

Not really. Saad and Schneider, Fisher was rookied because he was near-permanently injured and McQualter was an utter hack in his first incarnation as a Saint. Allen was Rookied for the reason specified. The rest are either permanently or temporarily upgraded Rookies.

I can do a 'Rookies Who Never Made It' team if you want, but it wouldn't be pretty reading...
