Started with some Stones, Bowie and Beatles but Melbourne was too warm and got onto some jazz stuff Mingus, Miles Davis etc. I sold all my good stuff and have started buying it all again so I'm pretty limited at the moment. The stuff I do still have is a bit loud for the neighbours too mostly so have to listen to old classics. I'm getting a bit obsessed now though, ready to update the turntable and amp.

I'm meant to be saving to go to Europe next year but I couldn't find a record shop that was open and went nuts on eBay. My wife has me on a budget but so far I haven't managed to keep close. I updated the bike for warmer weather pretending to get fit last week. Now I need a new hi fi system. I'm going to have to convince the kids a backpackers hostel in Frankston is a significant cultural experience instead. I need footy back to distract me.

That was an awesome win Saintos.
Im a Melb Storm member but Thurston is easily my fav player from any other club. Was happy to see him win it.
Happy for Kostjasyn & O'Neil the two ex Storm boys as well.


Im not getting into a debate about whats a better sport AFL, League,Soccer or Union. As everybody has their fav and with this being an AFL site it would be a one sided convo.
But ive always loved the competitiveness of the League scoring system.
Soccer is frustrating cos a team who is having a shocker can win cos of a shit penalty.
Union is leaning towards too many sides just playing for a penalty goal instead of trying to score a try IMO.
AFL can be bloody painful when a bottom side plays a top side and it can be all over at qtr time. Then youve gotta sit through 3 more qts.
But so many league games are still 'alive' and decided late in the game.
Thats how i see it anyway.
But i still dont think anything will come close to the excitement of seeing our Saints finally get up one day

Yeah mate it was an unbelievable game. Townsville will be on a week long bender.
I'm not real rapt in golden point wins, not a good way to finish a game after they've put their heart and soul into it for 80 minutes, but we'll take it.

I was a bit pissy last night, but what I was trying to say above is that after all the twists and turns in that game, and to score a try to level up in the last 30 seconds and then miss the conversion and then regather a ball from a knock on from the extra time kick off....well, its bounce of the ball isn't it. That could well have been us a few years ago, and you're right, as pumped as I was last night, it will be nothing compared to when the Sainters finally crack the big one, and I sincerely thing Richo is the man to do it.
