Spoke to some US friends today. here's why:

1. he isn't from the establishment, a non politician. people are fed up with DC and the pay to play pollies who spend 80% of their to.e easing campaign funds

2. Hilary is part of the above and offered more of the same.

3. polls got it wrong because a lot of people who intended to vote Trump didn't admit to it for fear of reprisals.

4. the biggest protest f you to the establishment.

Trumped had played everyone. Back tracking on everything, employed all the establishment lobbyists to his transition team.

Has taken everyone for the all time biggest troll ever.

Will be lots of dumb white trash unhappy that he is just like the rest.

If anything this makes the American population even stupider as Trump has almost no credentials to actually be a successful politician.

His business practices are basically cut and burn style where the risk is all taken by scapegoats whilst Trump himself walks away with hands clasped behind his back. He actually HAS to govern now if he actually wants to do anything that he promised. Its far more likely he just sits back and lets the republicans go at it for the next 4 years as he sure as **** knows he has no idea what he is doing.

There is a Family Guy episode where Peter's father in law joins the tea party, it's pretty much that playing out in real life.

Trump is only a successful business man cos he had a very rich Daddy let him take over all the businesses . True he expanded it but he was handed it on a siver platter.

Sadly his two oxygen thief sons will then take it over and become billionaires

They reckon Trump would have made more with his dad's money in the bank than through his business decisions.

He did say in an interview about 20 years ago that if he ever ran he would do so as a republican because they are the only ones stupid enough to vote for him.
People are angry that politicians no longer represent them. where there's a void, some idiot will fill it.

Democrats have abandoned the blue collar workers and have paid the price.

Watching old footage on Ch9 of Warne , McGrath and Border captaincy still gives me a chubby.
I still remember meeting Captain Grumpy as a kid. It was during a Junior Bushranger clinic on the MCG and while everyone else was doing rotations my dad spotted him in the middle of the ground. Rushed over and got a photo with him, he mumbled quietly that he felt like Mickey Mouse. Still, he did his best to be friendly which was such a thrill. We just don't seem to make cricketers like that any more.

That post is part of the reason why trump got in...

If Trump is 'employing' all the same people, so-called 'faceless men' in Australian political parlance, then he might not be as bad as those bemoaning his election think.

I think (or possibly more accurately hope) that Trump, probably like George W Bush, is actually cleverer than his public image suggests. I don't think you can make it to United States President being a total dill, but in any case, the myriad advisors should hopefully calm his wackiness so it's not quite the end of the world.

I am somewhat of a leftie, but I think that the left-leaning side of American politics has approached the whole election, including the aftermath, with arrogance. I think those protesting the result should accept it as the will of the American people at large, for better or worse.

Yeah i agree about not making test cricketers anymore , does not help paying massive amounts of money to blokes who spend more time in front of a mirror than they do batting in the middle . ACB need an urgent independent review of cricket in Australia.

I can't think of anything more arrogant than protesting the outcome of an election. Like your opinion should count for more than everyone elses.

Sometimes there's grounds, rewatched this last night

I feel like more then half the protesters are the 18-35 year old Burnie supporters who didn't vote or voted Green dealing with their stupidity

The election was decided by 110,000 votes in 3 states in those 3 states Jill Stein got 130,000 votes and many more people just didnt vote.

Hillary will end up with maybe 2 million more votes. This election was lost in some very marginal areas of the US.

Maybe the media didn't see it but the Clintons did moving campaign events to those places after the FBI intervention brought Trump back from oblivion.

On the movement stuff
US population of 340 million
Hillary won popular vote by near 2 million Lost 3 key states by a total of 110,000 votes
The election was gamed

Congrats to republicans for pulling it off but its not a dramatic movement of the general population but a focused effort to maximise voters through social media and overt racism and depress Hillary's vote though miss infomation and innuendo which payed off when the FBI reopened and then closed the email case

Common misconception. It is the United STATES of America. Voters vote for the candidate they want their state delegates to support in the electoral college not directly for the actual candidate. If you want to debate "one vote, one value" then look no further than Australian federal elections where a party can lose the popular vote and still form government. The issue is does the number of delegates represent the actual population? And considering the amount of non-registered voters that vote, the actual number of votes is a highly polluted figure.

Anyone interested should watch the Project Veritas undercover sting which blew a massive voter fraud operation run by highly placed Democratic party operatives. A story which, not surprisingly, received no coverage in Australia.

The real story is about the extraordinary corruption of Hillary and Bill Clinton through the Clinton Foundation.
The amount of revelations about her have only started, some of which if true, would disgust any normal person.
There is a massive internal feud in the FBI and NYPD to bring these crimes to light based on the information recovered from the laptop of Anthony Weiner.

There is a clear campaign in the Australian press to damage the brand of the populist vote.
The amount of propoganda is a disgrace to journalism and the ethical canons they are suppose to represent.
I am not a massive Trump fan but I am elated Hillary and Bill Clinton did not win the White House.

I'd be interested to hear you explain more about that.

It is quite disturbing and a salient reminder of why we should NEVER allow them to be implemented in Australia.

I dont believe in conspiracies generally the FBI were in a bad place if they didn't check the emails on Weiner's laptop till after the election and there was something new in there it would of been chaos so they had to check before the election.
They found nothing new but it had an effect on what ended up a very close race
