Gotta love customer service sometimes.

Person shouts louder and refuses to listen whilst cursing every second word gets rewarded by skipping the queue, terribly sorry those who have been waiting 4 months, that guy is apparently more important becauae he's a whiney bitch who can't work a website form or understand javascript.

Meanwhile I spend 40 mins hearing how I apparently wasted the last 5 years being shit at my job, and all those people I trained and me leading the team is wasted because it's obviously born of such failures.

I swear to all things considered holy, if I could piss in his stubby holder and not get fired I would because it's a $0.20c creation job and if he wants it that badly he's willing to abuse people for it he's surely taking the piss.

last season i was at my parents house and my nephews were watching TV when the sports bet advert came on for the 50th time and they were both transfixed on the the odds for the upcoming footy game ...
its getting beyond the joke and the "gamble resposibilly" disclaimer at the end of the advert doesnt cut it as a warning of the dangers in gambling.
the saturation of gambling adverts are normalising betting to our next generation and these marketing ploys of "cash back" and "free bet" are just sucking more and more people in .. i think the whole industry needs to be trated much like the booze and ciggy industry in regards to how they can advertise their product cause gambling is fast becoming an issue for many many aussies..

Yeah the thing I don't like about the saturation is all the kids watching.
Yes a lot of people say " they aren't forcing you to gamble". And this is true as most sensible adults can think for themselves.
But this is gonna be our first generation of kids who grow up with gambling adds shoved down their throats constantly. They will grow up thinking it's the norm to bet on everything and anything at any time you want via your mobile phone.
That worries me as a parent of young kids.

I tell them not to gamble but it's shit, If you want to waste your money go for it. Just like I don't want religious doctrine smashed into them, I don't want it every where. It is no different to smoking or drinking. I don't care if others do it, just don't rub it in my face.

This goes way beyond marketing and digital disrupters making betting so accessible and easy I reckon.


I do this even when I’ve no intention of placing a bet, I’m genuinely interested in what the ‘experts’ reckon the most likely outcome is.

It’s a good way of translating situations into a clear picture of our chances and I think humans by their nature like information broken down this way.

Well I don't watch any ad so I don't care what they advertise but if they listen to you then it shouldn't be a problem. I gamble weekly and my daughter may never have had a bet in her life. She still knows what the odds are or who is favourite. Hasn't helped her maths to much though but I still think it can be good for their maths.

They are pretty good at maths already, they were lucky they got mum's smarts. My kids don't listen to me about anything. I reckon if I tell them to gamble it might be a better deterrent.

I have only ever bet once on a footy match. It was $2 at a TAB in Melbourne. By mistake, I bet on Adelaide instead of Port Adelaide and I won when I should have lost. Not sure why I did it, as I wasn't around to collect.
