My monthly expanses are phone and car.

I can still provide the same level of service without needing pass on hard costs to the client.

I make a good living, they save thousands, which basically their money.

It's a disgrace that the main reason agents are told to sell premium advertising to their vendors is because it gives them a bigger profile and exposure.

So vendors are paying massive $$$ to promote the agent. When I started 26 years ago, we were charging the same % rate for commissions. @ 2%.

Back then, a house was worth $80k. Same house is now worth $800k. Yet agents are still charging 2% for basically the same labour input of about 8 hours per sale. That's $1600 vs $16,000!

All off the back of the home owner's sacrifice.

What the hell is going on with politics in Australia right now? What happened to the decent politicians? So sad to see what's become of the country and I genuinely fear for its future.

Okay, so say you're an ambitious, community-minded, hard-working, intelligent leader. Why in hell would you go into politics right now, instead of going into the business or NGO sector? You can do just as much good, if not more, without the scrutiny or (often faux) outrage.

We are getting the crappy politicians we deserve.

Libs are no worse than Labor though, both ****en useless. How we can run a political system where the prime minister can be sacked and replaced without any input from the public is a disgrace. It may have worked in the older times when people were judged on their beliefs and a handshake and verbal agreement were ironclad. not so nowadays, both Lib and Labor have changed PM's whilst in office in the last 10 years. Our 6th PM since Howard lost in 2007.

the noble notion of going into politics for the greater good for family, community and country are long dead and its just how much you can screw out of the system for personal gain.

Its time for serious political shakeup, do away with 2 party preferred and get back to selecting the best candidate.

However, I believe the people of Australia deserve better than this debacle.

IMO, we should be able to exercise our right to vote a Prime Minister into power. This happens too often.

And get rid of guys with a few hundred votes getting in because of preference sharing. Fraser Anning the guy who gave the Nazi speech had 19 votes but gets a federal senate seat. $200,000 a year and a heap of perks that make it hard to spend. Federal pension that isn't much different from their pay packet for life and free travel and office for life. It's broken beyond repair.

Bronwyn Bishop had to resign because she couldn't keep with in what the electorate expected was reasonable. She gets $700 a day for life and all the perks still. It's so shit and only attracts the rats.

the libs got into power in the first place by telling everyone they were stable and the backstabbing Labor party were not fit to govern ...

ill openly admit im a greens voter so i do have a bias on this but how the hell can we as a country trust either the libs or labor again ... both are taking the piss and playing the country for fools ... the minor partys to the right are even bigger shitshows so lets not even entertain them as a viable option.. maybe the time has come for the greens to put on their big boy shoes and offer the actual viable alternative ...

Prefacing, first vote Labor, second vote socialist republicans, third vote, a stick figure stabbing a poorly drawn seal, fourth vote Greens as the local rep was bloody attractive and had legs for days. Have always leaned left of centre towards where Lenin sits on scales, will never really preference Libs/Nats since both have screwed over where I've lived thus far when given the chance so piss on fire = no.
