Okay, guys. I just received word from that my examiners have passed my PhD with very minor revisions. It only took 6 weeks, which is apparently mega-quick (I was expecting to wait until November).

So, it looks like I'm Doctor Percy now.

I just wanted to thank the many of you who have kinda walked the PhD journey with me over the years, in this thread and elsewhere. I've really appreciated your support, friendship and encouragement along the way.

Your gif game better be as good as Dr Spaceman, cause if you want respect that thesis thingy just won't wash on this forum.

My opinion on the boof heads is that they are not being taught to be kind, thoughtful and compassionate....It was drummed in to us as kids and god help us if we were bad mannered/rude to anyone. Had to be respectful to others at all times.

compasion, respect, empathy are all sadly going by the way side now days ... that said for every one of those stories you do get the storys of human decency that do get ignored ...

For mine anyone that's in to animal cruelty is a massive wide berth for me
and a potential violent crim as the stats recently have indicated!

I'm finding myself getting really wound up these days whenever i see these pathetic f#cking cowards
Picking on and abusing anything or anyone that is vulnerable!
All animals...The elderly...Kids...Disabled or just the plain feeble even!

Its Disgusting and the law needs to be a lot harsher than it is, when these

There is genuinely nothing I hate more than people who hurt animals. It makes my blood boil and it's the only time I feel violent tendencies. I don't even have a problem with people killing animals for food but just hurting them for fun is disgusting.

thats a good point ... i guess stuff like this may have been happening for years but its only now that the idiots are filming it and sharing it to their friends that we are seeing it more publicliy

the uploading vision is the other thing i struggle to comprehend ... last night there was footage of a bloke in a road rage attack here in perth ... this guy is filming his mate with a baseball bat as they are chasing a car down the street for him to lean out the window and smash the other cars window as they are speeding down the road ...
not that action in itself is pretty bad but you can somewhat get that heated situation and road rage can cloud better judgment to cause someone to do something stupid but the mentality of the other person to feel the need to film it and then upload and share it is the really scary part ... that to me throws out the excuse (although a weak excuse) that it was a spur of the moment rush of blood act , it changes it to a calculated planned attack with intent , then to up load it shows zero remoarse ... i will admit ive been in heated situations in my life where i have instantly regreted my actions but uploading the video as some sort of brag .. this is a sick twisted mentality

Someone leans out the window with a baseball bat to smash my window, they'll be wearing the side of my car no bluff about it.

Not sure why they insist on putting lanes that lead no-where on the left at traffic lights, but i had one guy got really shitty at me when he zipped up the left lane, and i didn't just drop back to let him in..... because... guess what... I don't need to, the guy on the left gives way no much he blinks. and i was already pissed at how slow the guy in front of me was going. If it had been someone who pulled away from the lights at the same time as me i'd just have let him in, but he's trying to jump a queue of cars. Guy gets all shitty flashing lights and crap, so i flip him the bird which is common etiquette in such cases.
I look at the traffic find a gap and put a couple of cars between us. But the road backs up at the next traffic lights, i purposely positioned myself just in case... and yep out of the cars these guys , possibly Croatian , jump, running towards me. Into the slip lane i go, nice and slow , pretty much matching their running pace.
The road on the left is pretty empty, and its pretty funny as i slow down enough for them to catch up, then accelerate again. The dumbass stopped to pick up a stick or something and throw it , didn't have a chance of coming close.
Wish I had footage of it....That I would have uploaded.

There's also something about guys in jacked up 4WD's pulling away from intersections with horribly slow acceleration , but then eventually get up to pace , then decide they want to trundle along at 120 and get pissy when the car in front of them doesn't want to. Especially at night when they can shine their lights in the back window.
