What are the positives? (these are pretty small +'s)

• No need to download patches
• HDD space
• Endless library
• Not buying individual games

Negatives

• Lag
• No internet no game
• No chance for community modifications without local files
• Yet another paid service, we have had enough of these subscription based models for games. (mmo's excluded)
• Inevitable server issues

You'd probably need a gigabit connection and probably be playing a game where response time doesn't matter so much (i.e. no FPS, MOBA, RTS or sports games) for it to not be a frustrating experience
