You get as long as the Board, media and members put up with it.

The tide has (finally) turned for Bard in terms of the membership but he still has plenty of support in the media and at AFL/NMFC Board level - this buys him plenty of more opportunities to be 'disappointed' before he will be asked to leave the premises.

The bye this year will be a key 'line in the sand' moment for Bard and the Board. Let's see how it plays out.
