Alister Clarkson has more balls than our entire administration:

It's why he succeeds.

I see they're placing restrictions on the NGAs and the ability to bid match for talent in the front end of the draft.

How's about just do it for all academies.

The first two round of the draft are exempt from academy bid matching.

Puts all, clubs on a more equal footing.

Not sure it's been mentioned but Zurhaar looks like being our leading goal kicker. Currently on 14, cant see him going 20+. Lowest since big Drew with 27 in 2009. Hale and Thomas also kicked 20+ that season.

Yes, its been a shorter season, shorter quarters, and lower scoring across but the way the game is not entirely convinced someone would be on track for to beat 27.

Human beings claim millions of species every year, and have contributed to the extinction of many hundreds of thousands. We've been permanently upsetting ecosystems since the industrial revolution. Getting all trigger happy about it at this point is going to change nothing, given the current state of our planet.

I agree with the sterilisation of all domestic cats. Far too many millions are killed for lack of homes. But extermination by gunfire, or any other means, of any group of creatures, whether indigenous or not, is not a reasonable thing to put so much energy and angst into. In the end none of it will matter, because we humans are destroying the entire planet. Unless that is in fact our methodology for eradicating the cane toad and any other creatures we deem harmful. In which case, well done humans. Bit over the top, but go us. I guess.

We have played 39 players this season. Of the 6 players yet to play a game this year only 2 have been able to get on the park at all. They are McGuinness and Crocker.

No team have less zero game players (3) on the list, which would likely have been 2 if Comben had been fit at any stage this year.

Watching Nth V Hawfs '93 replay. 1V2. The Duck is playing his 73rd game.

What a game Aussie Rules used to be - what a clusterfu** it is now.

There has been literally 4 free kicks paid in the 1st quarter with bodies flying everywhere.

Longmire at fullback on Dunstall
McAdam looks 39 at 22 years old.
Crawford looks 12 along with Archer
Stevo running with The Rat
Dunstall/Carey kicked the wet ball for goal better than any player now with a dry ball.

A couple of old favourites in Larkin/German were winding up their careers. Both played through some rough times and missed out on the silverware...

In summary, the game is f’ed today and I yearn for the open but tough football that was played many moons ago...

Those 90s replays that played on 7 in prime time before the restart left by ******* angry. It wasnt just that we were winning. The footy was just so good to watch.

2020 has definitely left it’s mark on this football club in ways we can’t even put into words.

Not only will this be the first time in the AFL era that North Melbourne will miss finals for more than 3 consecutive years (you'd have to go back to start of our success in 1972 for the last time we achieved that feat) but we also add to another record that really sums up where we are at the moment.

We were amazingly locked in for 3 fixtures at the MCG last October for the first time in 10 years. That reflected the average decade we had in not genuinely contending for a flag. Every year not being where we wanted to be.
Well Covid put a stop to that.

Outside of the 2nd World War period (1941-1945), we have played at least one game at the ground going back to 1961. We have only gone 4 years in our existence in this league without playing at the ground. Strangely 1947, 1951, 1957 and 1961.

Unless something clicks in the next few weeks, teams around the 8 self-combust, we keep a healthy list together and go on a standard North Melbourne late season winning run, and finals are allowed back in Victoria by October - unless all that happens then we can add 2020 to this list.
LMAO
The only thing that clicked was Brady's pen writing off so many impostors

Wonder when and where the Syd Barker will be held, probably unlikely to be in Melbourne any time soon.

I saw on tonight’s news that Carlton have deferred their BnF until Feb 2021 in the hope players and others will be permitted to attend by then.

With the glut of uncontracted players we have we may need to hold ours this weekend in the hub!
