He could have been anything. Too bad he was homesick, he was a gun.

Could have, should have, would have. You're right, he did have huge wraps but I only remember him ever having one good game (kicked 6 or 7 against the Eagles in Perth early 90s when they had that awesome defence).

Agreed. Another 'bush legend'. Had a leap on him like a gazelle - imagine Waite but with a reliable kick.

Hey don't knock the Arce! He was all that stood between us and a goal-less game of footy.

Arceri = legend.

I think it was Brett Sholl................Brad his brother could actually play a bit 169 games Cats & 7th in the 1997 Brownlow.

I've looked up this ED GOOLD in the Bluesuem and cant find a trace of him. Is that some sort of joke or was he just a supp list player?

I have no idea. He's in the absent list of the team photo. I think 1999.
I do remember him though.

With a name like that he has to be a private detective by now.

Wasnt McKenzie a premiership player in 1987? Surely that deserves a little respect.

Yes - he was a premiership player in 1987 when we won over the Hawks in 31 degree heat. I think he kicked the last goal for us.

On a funny note, I remember listening to the radio when Carlton promoted new players Hocking and Dutton (don't remember their first names) for their debut games in about 1983. Carlton lost and Jack Dyer was asked about the two new boys. He said "Hocking was shocking and Dutton did nuttin'". What a funny bastard he was.

The Captain and the Major. What a team. :thumbsu:

Just going through 2 old team photos.

What was everyone's rating of the following players::

  • [*]Adam White
I was at a game where he was hit with a beer bottle from a member of the crowd. It was right in front of me in the social club pocket at PP.

I was in the front row, and it was against the WB, when they shared the ground with us.

Didn't Adam White once kick 6 in an Ansett Cup game against Footscray out at Waverley one night?
Wasn't that Alan Thorpe?? I remember Heath Culpitt getting in Nathan Buckleys face during that last game we played against Collingwood at Optus oval! Even Carlton supporters thought he was a tool for doing this!
