This thread needs to get used more IMO, people asking questions off topic in other threads isnt great and stops good arguments.

Does anyone know where i might be able to find best 22 from previous years like 2007-2009. I want to do a little but of research.

Re: DT 2011 Rookies Thread

Would like to know aswell.

However your SIG suggest keep away from crow youngsters - which i will be doing.

Would also like to know how Dangerfield is tracking?

Ive saw that all the port draftees are a chance at games from an article on afl.com

Dont actually know who they are besides Oshea and Jacobs.

Edit: Newton and Young

Although i think besides Jacobs the latter 3 will get time later in the season. Oshea is an interesting prospect.

I totally agree :p

Does that make him old? I'm not looking foward to my 21st then...

It does if you're talking about him on the rookies thread like DWD. I'm sorry BACCs, but you've missed the point. DWD wanted people to stay on the topic of the threads, but couldn't do it himself.

Its not like i just asked some random question but. We were on topic of Adelaide players and youngsters at that.

In the mids Lynchy, personally I'll be looking at the cheaper DP options.
Initially I felt starting someone like Chapman had merit due to added flexibility, but with guys like Krak and Mzungu given M/F status, and Heppell given B/C status it may not be neccesary to start premiums. It could work out if the rookies are inconsistent and don't pay off the way we'd hoped, guys like Goddard could prove valuable.
I won't be yet, purely because I see the rookies performing the same function for a much cheaper price.

I'm thinking the same. At the moment have 2 players on my bench with DP. Thinking when the time comes to trade them though, I could become stuck without a DP in my mids?

No difference between starting a keeper DP player in the mids compared to a gun, if you intend to swap them to there Back/Forward position eventually

it does if you can start them elsewhere and utilise value it does.

Judd or Bartel?

Bartel carried an injury for a large part of last season which resulted in his lowest average in a while. Not sure if he can lift his averages back to where they once were with the departure of Ablett resulting in him receiving more attention and the predicted decline of Geelong. I'd still take Bartel over Judd in DT but the gap between the two may not be as big as you would think.

Bartel by an incredibly long way.

Didn't there used to be a player x v player y thread? This is the only time of year I post because the board is horrible during the season (admittedly getting better), so maybe I missed it. It was good fun.

I have to agree, I really like the looks of Bartel. I still think he has some scope for improvement.

The board is getting better as the knowledge of main posters is improving.

Does anyone know what the average FIRST price increase was for last year's rookies?

I could probably get it for round three, but if you mean the average for each rookie who played across the year, that is a lot tougher.

Any chance you could just live without this information?

At this stage I just lose my thumbs to Joe the Bookie if I don't get the info, so yes I'll live.

The reason I'm interested is thinking about wasting an early trade or 2 in Round 4 changing rookies. If I plan to do this I will select less rookies from GC (ADL and NM too), knowing that I can get one or two of these guys in anyway.

EG: hold off on picking Swallow to see whether he is going to be scoring at the level required to increase significantly, then trade in at Round 4 when he is on the bubble. just trying to work out the cash likely to be needed to do this.
