Kreuzer was my first picked DT player this year! I have hale, kreuze, Stephenson and Giles. Tossing up whether to keep him and wait till rookies make money so I can upgrade him to a premium or just downgrade him to redden this week or next...

I'm trying to do vc loophole.

Have jimmy mac on the field as vc, with murph on bench, is that correct ?

But I can't take the C of Swan, how do I do this ?

No, :D

logically if you want Murph score doubled he has to be VC

So Murphy on field as VC

If he does badly leave Swan as your captain and Murphy VC doesn't matter.

If Murphy does well put JMac on field and make him captain hence your captain doesn't play and you VC doubled.

Then set Swan (or whoever) as your emergency to fill in for Jmac but not become captain.

I have a question regarding price changes.

Let's use Golby as an example.

Priced at around $265,000, and scored 77 in Round 1.
TooSerious has his price change, if he continued to average 77 over the next 2 rounds as roughly $30,000.

For my questions sake, lets say that in rounds 4 and 5 he continued to average 77. What would his price rise look like after each of those rounds?
Would he rise $30,000 after each round, or would his price increases decrease due to the fact that he is now priced higher?

Hope that makes sense.

Until a point where there is no price change anymore. Some how the rolling 3 game average is compared to the numbers used to set the initial price. Unless there is something extra complicated about the formula, once the 3 game average stablises, the price remains the same. (Until a bad or good score affects the 3 game average)

Break evens

Just wondering if there is a website out there that will give you any players break even scores. i understand that it is only week one but i noticed on the DT talk website they were talking about break evens already.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Break evens

too serious doesnt have the breakevens for this year yet.

Ok, last suggestion, why don't you sign up for the 2 week DT assistant coach trial which is free. That way you can have em this week and then use Too Serious after that.

otherwise

OK so maybe this has been discussed previously but how can we possibly have break evens after only one round??? As far as I understand, a break even is the score a player needs to achieve in order for their score to remain unchanged following the game, i.e. the score they need in order for their price to "break even". If someone has a break even of 50 and they score 50 their price doesn’t change. If they score less their price decreases, if they score more it goes up. As scores only change after 3 rounds there is no such thing as a breakeven. No player's value will change following round 2 games.

What's the point of saying that Kennedy has a BE of -167 (or whatever it's supposed to be). Regardless of whether he scores 200 or -200 his score isn’t going to change this week.

It makes a huge difference if a player with a B/E of -167 after Rd1 scores a tonne in Rd 2. Will get a massive price rise after Rd 3 no matter what he scores in Rd 3. A crap score in Rd 2 then not so much...

Re: Break evens

The point is that it will carry over.

For example if a players BE is 70, and they scored around 70 last week, you know pretty much that if they score below that this week their price will go down unless you trade them out. Given it's not as useful as it will be in a week or two but it gives you some idea as to the price changes to come.

edit: james beat me to it, bottom line-it is worth looking at.

I agree, it is pointless for this week. Their BE for round 3 is the time to be looking, however I guess an early glimpse now might give you an indication of a Premium's possible $$ movements for rd3.

Whats the dealio with Enright? Im not usually one to pull the trigger on early trades but a 38 from my second most expensive defender makes me sad. Anyone know why he spud it up?

Enright has a fairly high standard deviation in his scoring and he drove me insane last year. He will have a few low games this year and maybe this was just one of them. Look to last years grand final as another. Also worth considering that he is 30 now and is on the downward slide and might be getting to the stage where he falls off the cliff.

Is that you ranked 6th???
