Ashton Kutcher plays footy?
The Eagle we should look at is Koby Stevens.
We need another potential grunt and in and under player.

Yep. Been saying for a while now that Stevens would be a fantastic addition to our squad.
Vic boy that has not been given many opportunities at senior level. Tough nut that could develop into a very handy inside mid.
Well if Paul Bower goes I would look at the Eagles list as The dockers have no one we need except Matthew Pavlich who will never go.Their only Jayden Pitt and Nick Suban both Victorian.Ashton Kutcher plays footy?

I like him also, would be a good get, should talk to his manager ear and get him back home at Carlton.I'd be all for getting Koby, looks the type but cant break into WCE midfield with all their in and under players. Would complement our midfield perfectly.
Love to get Goddard, kind of surprise he want to stay loyal at a sinking ship and not have a crack to get a flag with the club he supported. Not a bad thought, you'd have to wonder if any Saints stars will be up for grabs following the fall out with Ross Lyon. They're well and truly in disarray at this point in time.
Wouldn't say he was a massive supporter as a massive supporter would think of bailing and trying to get to that club even for less money then he would for any club. AFL players are pretty much set up especially big time players, unless they are drug addicts or gamble their money. Was a massive blues fan

You can be a massive supporter of a club, but there is this thing that stops them from just up and leaving. It's called loyalty... it is worth more than money and there are only a few current AFL players who know what it means without having to look in a dictionary. Fortunately, most of them play for Carlton.
Stephen Kernahan would have had a mountain of money thrown at him to be the inaugural captain of the club... but he had found his spiritual home at Carlton and he wouldnt move at all... they are going to be carrying him out of the place feet first before he leaves. It is pretty much the same as just about anyone who has ever pulled on the old dark navy blue.
Sticks was already at Carlton before Adelaide even came into the comp.
Complete hypothetical... If Carlton was to lose a player to GWS and received a band two (end of first round) compensation pick in return for that player, would you on trade that compo pick (and potentially filler) to North for Hansen? Reason why I asked was there's discussion in the trade thread about who North has available for trade. A Richmond fan offered up their second rounder and I responded claiming he was worth similar currency to Richard Tambling last year. Similar draft position only Hansen was two years later so is younger and is a KP.
An interesting proposition & one player I have kept an eye on through the course of the season.
Query is- where would he be suited ? Down back or up front ?
Up front he has been disappointing, good at presenting, but to be honest at about or behind Setanta in terms of what he would offer. Goal kicking conversion is poor. Subject to brain fades.
Down back, well that's interesting.
Does it free up Hendo to play as a CHF ?
Do we want to even play Hendo up forward after his transformation late in the season ?
Can he hold down a key post such as CHB on the marquee forwards ?
I'm not sure that drafting Hansen with a pick in that range actually improves us dramatically, rather than providing depth / coverage for injuries.
But hey, sometimes you gotta roll the dice.......... 11 for Mclean didnt work, but 36 for Laidler has been a master-stroke.

If we lose one to them, so be it. The stars all stayed true to the NAVY BLUE as they ALWAYS have.
Yes, there have been players who have left the club throughout its proud history. There are players who never should have left (e.g. Aaron Hamill) but those who have been treated fairly and with loyalty have almost always repaid that loyalty in spades. Not many clubs can say that.
Does anyone think that we may look at cutting McLean at years end?
Maybe not a palatable thing to think about, but I actually see him to have become slower in recent months and as good as he is getting his hands onto the ball, it just doesn't come out as quick as it used to.
Jacobs is a poor example to use when you're discussing loyalty. The fact is we were going to have to trade one of our rucks at some point. We could not possibly keep four rucks on the list at the same time and expect them all to be happy. Four doesn't fit into two and at times neither does three. The club had invested the least of all four into Jacobs when you look at it from a realistic point of view. The club had invested a large salary and had gone to a lot of effort to bring in Warnock. We had invested a priority pick into Shaun Hampson and obviously Kreuzer was the number one pick. Inevitably at least one of those four had to be traded and it was the most convenient for all concerned that it was Jacobs. Although as fans we're entitled to opinions as to who we would have preferred to have traded the truth was that we were in a position where we had little choice. Ultimately, it has worked out well for everyone - Warnock had an amazing first final, Hampson has come along a fair bit this season despite injuries and we still have confidence in Kreuzer. Sauce has done himself proud at Adelaide by cementing his position as a senior AFL grade ruck. I don't see a lack of loyalty in that whatsoever but rather the opposite.

Confidence, as Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger observed - and if anyone should know, it is him - goes quickly and returns slowly.
