Bahrain absolutely dominated the entire world cup qualifier - 20 shots to 6 - only for the Aussies to pull a 90th minute goal out of absolutely nowhere.
We really should have lost about 4-0.

What a goal...
That game IMO is the difference between football and soccer. In football, you can generally tell when something big is happening, our win over Geelong in 06 was an example of that, even though we didnt expect to win from 50ish points down, after a few goals you could sense something. The Bahrain game, completely out of nowhere, and that exhiliration just doesnt get matched by footy IMO. Still love both sports equally, but that is certainly something that you dont get with footy...
Almost like a girl coming out of nowhere saying she wants to blow me, just completely out of nowhere and really quite rare...

To a degree I like that though, put it this way, if the best team won, then I wouldnt get much excitement with the Glory that is for sure...
The sudden elation/dispair is rarely matched in footy, maybe seeing someone suddenly go down with a knee or a big hanger maybe...
