Been that way since about halfway through season 3 unfortunatley.
This is the last season - only 9 episodes to go after tonight.
Thinking of ditching my part time job at coles nightfill (worst job in the world, along with the worst business in the world) to do reserves

Just got back from George's show tonight (thanks to some free tickets at work) - and it was once again fantastic. Don't think I stopped laughing the entire time!
Season 5 was cool, it won me back. Best season by far imo. Don't get me wrong, lost is a ridiculous show, and very easy to make fun of, but there were some great twists last year. Alot of the crap theyve been driving at for years started to make sense and tie together, there were some very clever moments. It went some way to make it feel as if the writers weren't just making it up as they went along.
Back to 'meh' in S6 on what Ive seen so far Im afraid. Some far better shows have been cut down before their time. Lost was guaranteed 6 seasons very early on in the piece, so I guess the writers slacked right off from about s2-5!
It was only after S3 had finished that they settled on finishing it in the 6th season.
The last 3 seasons have all been shorter than usual - essentially 2 series spread over 3 years. The first 3 series had 25, 24 & 23 episodes. The last 3 series are 14, 17 & 18 episodes in length. In part this was a result of the screen writers strike back in 2008.
I picked 4th today, 'Fairygem'. Put 20 on it, no winnings.I know absolutley nothing about horse raising so was a random bet and I lost haha. Happy that the rain held off most of the arvo though.

. Great day though, very under rated day of the year I rekon. Plus I saw Twiggers at that fashion thing and Johnny Platten walked past me.Yep my sentiment as well. was sitting there watching it last night, thinking, what the bloody hell is going on with this show. After watching series 5, I was excited about this year, now 5 or 6 episodes in and i don’t give a flying fig tree.
Hopefully the writers bring it home and rap it all up with the excitement and intrigue of the first few seasons.

I went to the fashion show but couldn't see a thing, way too many people in there. I agree, awesome day.
Season 6 hasn't been as good as season 5 was, but it's still a good show and ep 7 was fantastic imo.
But yeah, i'm glad they're not doing any more seasons and yet i'm still eagerly anticipating the conclusion as much as any show i can remember.

It all seems to be coming down to a confrontation between Jacob and his followers and Smoke Monster and his followers. Not sure that I really like this, given that both Smokey & Jacob have been very minor characters for the most part and it really doesn't explain all the island's other strange characteristics.
I think you'll find they're intrinsically linked to most of the wierd stuff going on.
It's gonna be 'wait and see' as to wether or not the conclusion answers enough of the questions to be satisfying, because we aren't going to get every answer.

My dad came home tonight and told me that my brother told him that apparently someone on here (the whole of bigfooty, not on the adelaide board..well it might be someone on the adelaide board) is being sued by another member for something they said about them. Anyone else heard this?? Or are we not allowed to talk about it....??

Speaking of a BF 'blast from the past', whatever happened to the poster Bluey? Hasn't posted since March 2008, and it looked as if he was one of the first admins for the site. Also posted less than 3000 posts, so must not of been a regular poster... Just curious that is all.
Actually, I don't have a problem with it. It's not like it's subject to a legal injunction or anything. That said, I'd prefer a more authoritative source than X told Y who told me...

There were quite a few fans of the lady persuasion lined up outside it when I went past this afternoon, which was quickly explained - Bernie Vince was due there for an apperance and autograph signing

Who is this Suzi Olsen character? Banned from nearly every board on BF, goes by the name 'clarkson2scott' now, and is universally hated by nearly every poster on here, with a site even having a devoted 1000 post thread on her. She even has her own blog.... Anyone felt her wrath before?
Had my first of several birthday meals tonight (26 on Sunday, always like to celebrate my birthday by heading out for several dinners with different groups of friends/family) Went down to Parwana's, which is some relatively new Afghan restaurant (I think it's the only Afghan restaurant in Adelaide) right near the Thebarton Theatre. It was pretty good actually, and fairly cheap. Quite similar to Iranian food, lots of marinated meat and seasoned rice. I can recommend it for anyone looking for a decently priced meal that's a bit different from the norm.

I can promise you Atko is not adverse of threatening defammation at the slightest hint. That and there's not a judge in this state who wouldn't find most of what I've said to be truth
unless they outed their real identity, you couldn't see how there is any damage to reputation by having one unidentifiable random user name slag off another unidentifiable random user name. It's hardly a case of Dow Jones v Gutnick or the current goings on over the border from BF posters.
