No... I thought he always used to tip us a lot when the others wouldn't. Maybe I am mistaken?

And I don't think the club worries about what the Advertiser says let alone the Footy Show.

No youre quite right, he's often in the same boat as gerard healy in praising us, though he may have been critical a while back when we werent scoring well.

Gotta love the Fevola phone on the desk

AND how funny was that photo of Barry Hall from the mid-90's!

Heading into Uni today I decided to be smart and avoid Main North road, where the bulk of the Salisbury Highway traffic has migrated to (in addition to the usual morning rush), by detouring to Bridge road instead. Except obviously everyone else had the same idea and the road to Bridge road was blocked as well. And then Bridge road was blocked up too. And then the road back to Uni. And then when I got there, that road was completely sealed off :(

I almost missed the class I was teaching.

Luckily for me I drive on Bridge Road and Main North to get to work but away from the City, all I can say is you poor buggers that were stuck in that traffic. But not the one idiot in this ute who didn't read the lights and stuck himself in the middle of Bridge road blocking of both ways. Grr!

After my standard route of Salisbury Highway was backed up to Kings Rd, I decided to take plan B - Martins Rd.

Got to Shepherson Rd where it was backed up to. So I went plan C - Main North Road via Kings Rd (I thought 2 minutes of backtracking would be better than close to an hour in the jam).

Kings Road was bumper to bumper with a few others sharing my idea. Main North Rd was backed up to Kings as well, so I hit the back streets to get up to Bridge Rd (plan D).

Bridge Rd was actually pretty normal, so I thought I'd try Montague Rd - backed up to Bridge Rd.

So I hit the back streets of Pooraka (Plan E) to get back to Main North Rd where it was smooth sailing. Managed to get back to Churchill Rd, which was near empty (probably because no traffic could get through to it!

Talk about taking the scenic route!

A competitor from the Queenscliffe Surf Lifesaving Club has died over on the Gold Coast at the Australian Nationals (Aussies). In a ski event someone else's ski flung back in the big surf and hit him in the temple, immediatley knocking him off his board. It then took a fair while to find his body at the bottom of the ocean, from where attempts were made to revive him. He passed away in hospital only an hour or so ago, the event has since been suspended. My sister is over there competing atm and it has really shook all the competitors up, an absolutley tragic event. One of my mates was involved in the CPR of the bloke, I can't imagine how he is feeling now. That cyclone was always going to be dangerous. Deepest condolances are with the family.

Does anyone else get annoyed like me when you send someone a text asking a question about how they've been or details about something coming up and they don't reply? Just one of my pet hates, and it's happening atm, hence the post.:p

awwwww, what's wrong? (I dont really care but you were getting annoyed about no reply so I'm being sympathetic sp I replied for you)
I have you on ignore so not sure why I am replying, but it is actually something to do with the tragic events that occured over on the Gold Coast on Friday at the Lifesaving Nationals. So maybe think about others that aren't yourself for a minute. And they have got back to me since that post anyway.

Surely this is up there in terms of the greatest FB groups.

"Can this potato get more fans than Port Adelaide had attendees in 2009?"

http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/group.php?gid=285725364810&ref=ts

Let's see if this potato can get more fans than Port Adelaide had attending their matches in 2009. The average for attendance in Port Adelaide matches was 25,289.

So I'm appealing to Big Footy, because currently the group is just at 13,416 members ;).

Burgers served as open sandwiches? which **** came up with that?

an open sandwich is something on toast.

if I order a burger, I want both side of the bun dammit!!

When I get one of those, I prefer to think of it as the kitchen making an offering to me, displaying the meat so that it meets my approval before I place the top on the burger and consume it.

If you mean they are not giving you the top of the bun at all... then I would find the offering to be insufficent, sending it back to the kitchen in an act that would shame their families for generations.

one time they put one of those giant mushrooms as the top bun, i was very disapointed..!

Obama's health bill has been passed.

Its interesting because I am actually reading an economics book atm on health care in America, and it has articles from the late 1990's talking about a medicare type system and how much it is needed in America.

It also talks about the need to reverse the trend of tax cuts for the excessively wealthy....and Obama is doing that too :thumbsu:

whoa, that's deep dude.
