No. They imposed a 120kph speed limit on the previously unlimited highways a few years ago. It was really only 4 roads which were effectively unlimited - the Stuart Highway (south from Darwin to the SA border), the Arnhem Highway (to Kakadu), the Victoria Highway (Katherine to the WA border) and the Barkly Highway (Three-ways to the Qld border).
Imposing the speed limit was probably a mistake, as speed is rarely the biggest risk factor on those roads. With such a small population and long distances between towns it is relatively rare to have a multi-vehicle accident on those roads. The big problems are fatigue, unroadworthy vehicles and drunk drivers.
By limiting the speed they've actually increased the problem of fatigue, as it now takes considerably longer to get from A to B. I could be wrong, but I'm not aware of any significant decrease in the NT death toll as a result of the speed limit being imposed.
This is not to say that I'm in favour of open speed limits everywhere. I'm not. The NT (and large parts of WA) are very different to the rest of the country, due to the lack of population and long distances between population centres. What works in those areas would not work in a more densely populated part of the country.

I hate TAFE SA 
they leave it until April to tell us they're changing our course and now most of the work I've done this year has been pointless because they've removed that work from the course

Decided to do the old name change once I got my Gold Membership (formerly BACCS). An outdated DT team name from last year, so seemed like a good time for a new look after nearly a year on the site.

just try and put in a big photo and it will resize it down for you

you need to find a website that does them
you choose the photo's
and the size (if 1 photo is too big it'll only use the 1st photo as your avatar)
put them into the website and it'll make it for you
save it onto your computer
and use that

Ahk I just tried that and it is only showing the first photo as my avatar, so that means one photo is too big?

actually, maybe not
the problem will either be
1) a photo is too big
2) the file is to large
so check how many KB's the avatar is and then check how much is allowed, you may have to take a photo or 2 out

It says the file is only 46KB (under the 74KB allowed) and is only 100 by 75 pixels, so this has me stumped.

Anyway I managed to get one working, but I see other people's and their's is bigger, so it'll be good if there was a way to enlarge it somehow.
Wooo I met Tom Green in Rundle Street earlier today!! He's here for two comedy shows (tonight and tomorrow) night. He was just walking with his friend/manager so I asked for a photo and autograph and he didn't even hesitate, very a nice guy.

I just didn't like the old name as it was an expired DT team name. Ah well. Also did anyone here 5AA get a bagging by whoever the host of the SEN teams show on a Thursday night from 6-10? SA seems to be getting a bashing from all Vics this week, not like SEN are bias or anything.- Thread starter

Anyone notice on TFS tonight when they asked Brock Mclean about Setanta's massive celebration after the first goal last week. He replied with 'I think he had some money on himself'. AFL footballers really don't think when they talk do they? Treading a fine line there I would have thought.
It seemed like a pretty clear joke to me.

Yeah same to me, but there are people out there who could see it differently, just saying it is a fine line to tread. And the guy on SEN just said 'Don't get me started on 5AA after listening to them when my team St Kilda have been playing'. Pretty much going on about how bias they are, and said they are the worst station along with 6PR in the country. Maybe the Vics should start looking in their own backyard first.

To be fair, I can see why supporters of non-SA based teams would hate listening to 5AA. I absolutely can't stand listening to 6PR when we're playing West Coast or Freo.

No need to call them the worst radio stations in the country though, as they are only catering to a specific audience. Also 5AA went to the effort of broadcasting NAB Challenge games for footy fans, and SEN didn't bother, yet 5AA get bagged for being too bias. Some sort of commentary is better than none I would have thought. And SEN are just as bad when commentating say a Collingwood vs Adelaide game, hypocrits of the highest order Victorians.
