Saw a Singapore Air 747 coming in over Thebarton tonight. I was aware they flew into Adelaide airport. I've seen plenty of 767s coming in but never a jumbo jet, didn't think they flew into Adelaide. Perhaps it was because of the backlog of passengers coming back from Europe.

Anyone able to shed light on this?

Occasionally Singapore Airline will use a 747 for their Adelaide flight, normally if it's going via Melbourne or to Melbourne via Adelaide.

About 15 years ago (before the runway was extended) we flew into Adelaide on a Singapore Airlines 747-200 (it was a Singapore-Melbourne via Adelaide flight).

I've seen a QANTAS A380 come into Adelaide
beat that! (to be fair though it was doing it's tests before it went into operational service)

Check out the penalty's Melbourne Storm have just copped

- Stripped of 2007 and 2009 Premierships and prizemoney
- Stripped of a further 3 minor premierships

and more to come (there's rumours they won't be awarded any more premiership points this year)

What a massive price to pay 2 Premierships, 3 minor premierships and this season they will get the wooden spoon. Plus they have to give a lot of money back. They have that new bubble stadium opening soon. Nobody will rock up, who would? This just damages the brand of rugby in Victoria.

It's not like you can take away the memories from the players, coaches and supporters, you're just taking down their name from the honours list pretty much. You would be pretty filthy if you were a Manly or Parramatta supporter (the teams that lost the GF to Melbourne).

Also proves how much better of an organisation the AFL is over the NRL and how Victoria is just a cheating corrupt place full stop. Haha

they should of lost whatever they won in that time
and fined how much they went over
then perhaps a little bit more

ok $1,700,000 over 5 years
should of been a $1,700,000 million dollar fine not $500,000

they won 2 premierships, 3 minor premierships and $1,100,000 take that away (well, 1st 2 things and make them pay back the $1,100,000)

and perhaps as the actual punishment to take away more than the crime then perhaps take inflation into account

so overall I beleive the Storm shuold have
Lost 2 premierships and 3 minor premierships
and pay $2,800,000 plus inflation back to the NRL

Nope 2007 and 2009 will now be listed as 'not awarded' or something similar. If you were Manly or Paramatta you wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot 'veiny meat' as WALL-e would put it.
