Another piece of inept journalism from The Advertiser (the article has now been pulled).
This run was meant to be 10 episodes, then another 10 after the Commonwealth Games. However, they extended this run by 3 weeks so Kylie will end the first run, and the run after the Commonwealth Games will only be 7 episodes. So we're still going to get 20 episodes of Hey Hey, but it's 13-7 instead of 10-10.
It is getting slammed in the ratings though, so not sure if it'll be back next year.

Some tickets have now gone back on sale - I just did a quick search on Ticketek's website and surprisingly found 2 tickets on the arena floor level.

I headed along (well, it was on the way home from Unley) tonight.
Was surprised to see 10000 there, was expecting half that at most tonight, considering NRL is largely ignored in this state (though it looked like a significant number were parents of the mini leagues pre-game and half-time considering the amount of noise being made during these games).
Have to admit I enjoyed the game tonight. Didn't understand much of the game (I knew the basics, like 6 tackles and passing has to be backwards), but was a good couple of hours nonetheless.
I too was going for Canterbury-Bankstown, mainly because they share the same mascot as Centrals. Also discovered at the end their club song is the same as the Crows!

Great win and thouroughly deserved. It's embarrassing for them that they are sponsored by Port rather than the other way around.
Wonder if Stiffy still has Nat Von Bertoch's number?

Agreed that the win was thorougly deserved. Was set up in the first quarter when they went on a 9-1 run.
They seriously need to consider a new major sponsor though as surely being associated with Port Power is damaging the Thunderbirds brand (as well as saving the Power some much needed money). I noticed a resounding boo when they thanked Port Power for their sponsorship today. Surely there is another company out there willing to become major sponsor of the Thunderbirds.

The NRL was pretty good, enjoyable atmosphere - they got crowd of over 10,000 on a pretty cold Saturday night. Must admit I did rather enjoy going straight into town afterwards. Not sure about a team here just yet, I mean it was good, but I wouldn't go every second week kinda thing.
The Netball Grand Final was pretty awesome, so much noise in there. They should play all their home games at the Ent. Centre from now on, ETSA Park is way too small. Well done to the girls, hope they party it up in Glenelg, Bali or wherever.
