Geez stabby...with your mate's wife is a double betrayal though. I would bet that most fellas would be maybe more shattered to think that a mate did that rather than their wife hooked up with someone they didn't know.

Could be wrong though.

And she got off scott free...that was just wrong.

No doubt you're right - but again, I would be holding more against the girl rather than the mate. Yeah, it's a damn rotten thing to do to a mate, but in the end it's the wife that cheats on you - your mate is just with a consensual partner.

I dunno. Either way it's a pretty bloody awful thing to do. I don't consider either to be acceptable, but if it happened to me I'd be much angrier with my fiancee/wife than with my friend.

Just because she wasn’t guilty by the media, doesn’t mean she got of scot free. I’m sure with her marriage breaking up and losing many, many close friends trust – she hasn’t got off scot free.

Just saying.

S'pose so. However, and this is going to sound crass, probably half her girlfriends would not have knocked him back either
It's a minefield either way.

You may be right but after reading his book (and yes take with a grain of salt) I got the impression she instigated the affair. But he’s about as trustworthy as a Taliban solder on a US flight.

Pfft, when does the Winter Olympics finishing? I don't care that Channel 9 don't show stuff live, I'd rather they didn't show stuff at all.

But saying that, I've watched it a bit when my parents have turned over to it and even though it's not on all day, it's still a better coverage than channel 7 did of the 2008 summer Olympics (or any other sport they "cover" for that matter.)

And the Olympics are on 9 until 1.45pm when they will thankfully change over to the cricket.

TORAH BRIGHT HAS JUST WON GOLD!!!!

Torah Bright has recovered for a horror first run in the final (scoring just 5.9) to score 45.0 in the second run to win Australia's first Gold Medal at the games.

Congratulations Tora :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

I've been watching the Olympics on Foxtel and the coverage is brilliant :thumbsu: Its not often you get to see these sports and with more Aussie's involved its been really interesting.

And Brucetiki, Torah was awesome! :D

Just watched the run on the Fox Sports web site - I don't know much about snowboarding but wow that was fantastic!

First time I have paid a serious interest in the event, and I see the first Aussie to get gold! I am stoked for her, even though I know nothing about the sport, she looked amazing in her 2nd run! Thankyou Tarah.:thumbsu::thumbsu: A few tense moments though when that last American Kelly Clark went! Pweeef :)

Don’t discriminate on the ring in. :thumbsu:

It's Torah I think. Have not watched a minute of it ...don't really care, but lets get the names right.
;)

Haha you are right, I posted my facebook status with Torah... I am not overly fussed either, but it was actually quite exciting to watch!

Our favourite fan  Jenny T just sent an email into 5AA, saying she can't wait to see Jetta tomorrow and what the Crows missed out on (or something along those lines), and that we should of picked him over Talia. Does this person ever stop with this crap?

if you're referring to Begg-Smith he got silver

LOL - yeah I know now he won the silver but at the time of posting that comment was sure it was gold this time as well. Maybe the fact they rammed it down our throats that he won gold 4 years ago added to my confussion.

Hummm I don't know, Eddies been suggesting others things have been rammed (thrust;)) down peoples throats but I'm not sure if one of those was a gold medal.
:D

On a completely different topic, I just wanted to say HELL YES - printing out three copies of my thesis ready for submission on friday. My Christ it feels good to get this bloody thing done :thumbsu: ...

Well done. Just caught up with this - cheers!! :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Talk about anticlimactic though, my supervisor was away so I had to get his signature in advance. Then the research degrees coordinator was off sick so I had to scan it to her so she could sign it and scan it back. Then the dean of research told me she'd "already one her signing for the day" and to leave it with her secretary. Then her secretary was out, so I had to leave it with the secretary's secretary.

On the plus side my school secretary bought me a packet of kettles plain chips to celebrate. Better than nothing I guess

Mmmm.

Sure that Tals will be fantastic, but she ain't wrong about Jetta. Just kicked his second 9 pointer for the quarter.

Jenny T's main concern is that we could be recruiting for 2010, but instead we're always recruiting for the future. She then sees a side like Hawthorn winning the premiership with Rioli playing a fair cameo throughout the year, and meanwhile Dangerfield is doing year 12 in Anglesea, and assumes we've made a mistake.

Personally I don't agree, but in that light I guess I can see why she'd see Talia over Jetta as a mistake - one is ready to go now, and it's now the blonde metro on the Crows list :p

That Jenny T woman annoys me SO much! Just have some faith in our recruitment team! I remember arguing with her during the draft and even the Crows person running the talk was getting annoyed with her.

Still would take Danger over Rioli, and I bet when Danger wins a brownlow and Rioli hasn't won one, she'll still say it was a mistake not taking Rioli. And we didn't need the type of Jetta player was after Knights break through last season. But of course she would've watched Jetta tonight and would've been cursing Rendell's (sp??) name and since Talia won't play this season, she'll say it was a massive mistake not taking Jetta.

I wish she would just go support another team if she doesn't like our players and doesn't agree with our recruitment team. Even winning a premiership probably wouldn't satisfy her.

On another note, went to the Fringe opening last night. Pretty sh*t night TBH. Every feral & bogan in SA was there and I'm STILL coughing up black stuff (you couldn't see the 80,000 people, you could just see movement in all the dust and smoke). Also, sporting a pretty nasty bruise and lump on my knee from the brutal bumper cars (which was pretty much the highlight of my night :p). Would've been a b*tch to clean up the city streets this morning; I was walking up Rundle Street just before midnight and there was rubbish, broken glass and vomit all over the road. And I really appreciated the 40+ year old couple in front of me in the Garden having a full on make out/touch up session :thumbsu: - almost made me vomit.

Just watched 15 minutes of Tiger Woods apologising.
In the end I couldn't really even work out why he did it.

The best part of the Fringe are the shows. I remember seeing one by Lawrence Leung and Andrew McLelland a few years back that I couldn't stop laughing about for a day afterwards.

Did you see anything good at all, S15?

I didn't go to any shows last night, apart from at the entrance of the Garden some guy was doing stuff with flames & a bed of nails...although for 10 minutes he spoke about what he was going to do then kept putting off doing it, while criticising a guy in the crowd he picked out to help for being fat, then made the guy get on scales and announce to everyone how much he weighed. Biggest load of crap ever.

I want to go in the bubble maze though! Looks SO much fun! It only opened today (disappointing that it wasn't opened for the opening) & my sister was going to go in it tonight with her friends so I checked the website & it says it closes at 7pm
