Yeah I cant imagine getting too excited over a retrospective flag. Still 'not awarded' seems odd.

the problem is that you just can't simply say the runner up is the Premier. All that would do is start a 'well Melbourne knocked us out in the Prelim and we would have beaten Parramatta in the GF easily' type argument. Every team that got knocked out by the Storm would have just cause to say things could have turned out differently if they weren't allowed to compete in the finals.

How stupid is the NRL tho', they start investigating this, and then watch the Storm win the 2009 premiership as well, and now do this. Nothing like getting to the point quickly.

I've seen a QANTAS A380 come into Adelaide
beat that! (to be fair though it was doing it's tests before it went into operational service)

I've flown on an A380 once! Apparently I was the only person in the world who had never heard of them and just thought "wow, planes have become more comfortable since the last time I flew!"

Fantastic flight, the only time I've flown international and not felt sick as a dog afterwards from being cramped in a tiny seat and breathing in recycled air conditioning while being unable to sleep.

The Skins brand has always been massively about playing fair, using legitimate advantages and being anti-cheat - have you seen the current ad running?

They had pretty much no other option than to dump the Storm the day after the news broke.

Major sponsors ME Bank and Host Plus have also dropped their sponsorships, whil clothing supplier KooGa are considering withdrawing their sponsorship, which means they may actually have no uniforms to play in!

This ANZAC Day stuff.

I am sick of hearing references such as teams "going into battle" and inferring players are soldiers ...and comparing a football game to a war.

This is not only stupid, but it deminishes the real men who did go to war and did die and did come home horribly physically and mentally scarred. I don't want to see an ANZAC Day medallist and all the imagery that it conjours up. The use of the word ANZAC should be registered with the government and used ONLY with respect to the deeds of our service men and women.
No-one ever died because of an ineffective disposal or a missed goal.

This is still just a game.

So big, so much activity, so many new things - highways and freeways everywhere, a well thought out and operating fast light rail network, new buildings going up everywhere, all the things Adelaide is not.

Then, what happens when I want to take a girl out to dinner at 6pm on a Monday night?

The only places still open across a significant swathe of East Perth right down to Rockingham, were fast food restaurants.

Baffling.

Saw a Singapore Air 747 coming in over Thebarton tonight. I was aware they flew into Adelaide airport. I've seen plenty of 767s coming in but never a jumbo jet, didn't think they flew into Adelaide. Perhaps it was because of the backlog of passengers coming back from Europe.

Anyone able to shed light on this?

There is a regular Singapore Airlines 747-400 flight that comes over around lunchtime every Saturday. It's an Air Freight flight, not a passenger flight.
I live under the flight path. I can hear it coming. It's awesome.

But I"m not aware of one that comes at night. Have never seen one at night.

The A380 was amazing when it flew over (a few times). Blocked out the sun!!

Back from a weekend of footy in Melbourne. While not close games, the Anzac Day experience was simply amazing! Certainly something I reccomend to footy fans if they haven't thus yet. Also, the MCG tour and Sport's Museum is well worth doing. Spent over 5 hours doing both, and that wasn't nearly enough. O, and saw Carey at the Crown last night.

Forgot to add.... Flew over with Tiger, and I couldn't believe my eyes when I arrived. Firstly, there was a 15 minute walk along the tarmat to the Arrivals 'Terminal', if you can really call it that. All it is, is literally a metal cage with a portable toilet, baggage carousel and a couple of vending machines. I know they are a low cost airline, but surely that is a bit extreme in this day and age?
