Very random thing on my mind.

My favourite beer advert of all time has to be the West End ad where a group of blokes in a ute use the random stuff in the back of the ute to build a pub in the middle of nowhere. Pretty sure it was west end.

I can find a number of old West End ads on youtube, but none of them are what i'm after.

If anyone can find it, they'll be rewarded with a 'like' and a lot of praise.

I've found a similar question asked here: http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/old-west-end-draught-commercial.934689/

But we weren't after the same one.

not this one at 3:45?

with the pub and the train out of nowhere? although it's a common theme over the decades with their advertising.

Why is it that Adelaide's temperatures are always higher than predicted and in other capital cities it's always lower? Tomorrow is 42 whereas Melbourne is 43, no doubt that it'll be 45 here and 38 in Melbourne.

6:30pm and it's still 39.7 degrees.

Oh well, only four more days to go

Every summer we seem to have one or two weeks of just relentless, scorching heat. Could be December, could be all the way into March, but you know it'll come.

Hopefully this week gets it out of the way early and it doesn't come again :(

Just as I thought, 44 here now and Melbourne hasn't even hit 40 yet. 43 tomorrow on Thursday? Try 46-47. It was supposed to be 42 today, we could be seeing never before seen temperatures this week.

According to BOM, Adelaide hit 45.1 at 1:55pm.

Obviously we couldn't bare the thought of Melbourne beating us for hottest capital :p

Tomorrow has been revised to 44 and Thursday to 45. We'll see...

My family are in a small town in nth central vic, virtually straight across from Adelaide (we always get your weather there)...anyhoo, just talking to mum, it was still 42.6 at 6pm and now they are having lightening shows, thunder and large rain drops. Some fires have started around the area too, hopefully by lightening and not deliberate.

Lets hope we can all get through without any nasty happenings. Good luck, stay safe:thumbsu:

Driving home on Salisbury Highway tonight and a bolt of lightning landed literally about 25 metres in front of me. Never been THAT close to lightning before

What did it look like when it hit the ground?

Pretty much like a white 3D zig-zag. Hit one side of the highway, then jumped across to the other side. Was quite surreal seeing this random white thing come from nowhere right in front of you!

Had the car stereo up loud enough to drown out what would have been one cracker of a thunder clap though.
