Plenty of traffic lights still out.

Always amazes me how much better the traffic flows when there are no lights. People become quite courteous, also alert because they have to pay attention. I bet if they did a study and turned all the traffic lights off for a day there would be fewer accidents.

Tuesday was a ridiculous day. We had 12 callouts, all due to the wind.

Now tomorrow is a Total Fire Ban, with a Catastrophic Fire Danger in the Mount Lofty Ranges. These ratings only happen on average of once a year. I've been in the CFS for six years, and every time there's been a catastrophic fire danger rating, I've attended a major fire. Forty-Two degrees with 25km Northern winds have justified the rating.

Would like to see Aus consolidate its spending on proper sports rather than include sideshow sports that we are always going to get creamed at. Or if we do well are a novelty value only.

This was the finding of some review (forget the name) but it's been ignored. Basically said that there is too much money going to minority sports that impact very few people and not enough going to mainstream sports that impact whole communities.

It amazes me that people who say things like the above are even able to work a computer or phone. I always assumed that people so stupid would just starve to death after days spent being unable to open cupboards or the fridge.
