I'm sick of strikes! The people striking now (ie British Airlines...although they're not allowed to now, & Australia Post) are not affecting just their company, they're affecting innocent people who have nothing to do it! People are waiting for gifts, cards, etc to be delivered for Christmas and now it may not get to them in time because of a bloody strike. I understand why they're doing it, but seriously, wait until after Christmas so it won't affect people as much!

Also, RIP Brittany Murphy. Can't believe another person has died before their time..and it's being speculated that the cardiac arrest was caused by drugs, so it's just like Heath Ledger's death all over again!

I just have to say that 'Operation Stack' (meaning in traffic jams trucks must move to one lane and stay there) is the most useless "OPERATION" I have ever heard of.

2 hour trip to Dover the other day took 18 hours! Thanks to the Eurostar breaking down and the Channel Tunnel being used to rescue the passengers.

Luckily Belgium was so nice

British Airways is losing HUGE amounts of money. They have hired a management team to slash spending etc. And now their staff are going to strike. LOL your company is losing money people. And now you are putting it in the position where they are going to lose alot more money, even faster. Your morons.



Australia Post is a monopoly company, owned by the government. There workers arent getting screwed over. But the sector in which they operate is. Mail all over the world (well in advanced countries) is declining. This wage dispute may lead to AP increasing stamp prices...which will lead to less mail, which will mean less jobs. So in effect there little strike will mean job losses and a faster decline of their business. Clowns.


I have a feeling there are going to be a swag of fires tomorrow. Undergrowth has dried out, and now we have a red hot day coming up. And every 40+ day from now on is only going to make the next 'hot windy day' even worse.

I was in Kingston a month or two ago and a fire started in a lightning storm at Cape Jaffa which is only 10km or 15km down the road and took a couple of hours to be contained, even in the pouring rain. My mates and I were watching it from the second floor in our little holiday home there, frightening stuff.

Apparently now there is a big fire in Kingston itself and it's burned out 200 hectares of land. Frightening stuff.

Meanwhile apparently the powers that be suspect arsonists of lighting fires, honestly, that's one mental deficiency I'll never understand.

In other extremes, it was a touch disconcerting waking up to my radio alarm to hear "90 people are dead in Europe due to extreme cold weather conditions, and the rail system breaking down" with my fiancee going on a train trip around Switzerland at the moment. I hope she's okay Unfortunately she was never going to be in contact while in Switzerland and doesn't have a mobile that works in that country so I can't call her, but she's due in Germany in a couple of days where she'll meet up with a mutual friend of ours so I've asked the friend to throw me an email when she arrives.

The scarf is probably the worst designed scarf I've ever seen. Its blue with the Crows logo on it...which is also blue. So basically you cant see the logo. Thumbs up to the Chinese design team for that one!

I am incredibly annoyed at the AFC.

I ordered the new White jumper for my cousins as a Christmas Present the day after they were announced and told they would be available in a few weeks. Then when they did not arrive I called and was told they had now been delayed until the 21st of December.

It is now Christmas Eve and my cousins will not be receiving new Jumpers. They were happy to take my money over a month ago, yet I still have not received the Jumpers.

This year my nomination for Christmas Grinch is the AFC.

They aint the only ones - I ordered some books online for a couple of rellies for Christmas in early November. They still haven't arrived!
