Nothing wrong with replaying kids games again as an adult :p I play more games/watch more shows from the mid 90s than I do those made nowadays :D

It's pretty sad that I'm 25 and already talking about how much better things were in "my day"

Agreed - a couple of years ago, I bought the Sonic Mega Collection (Sonic 1-3 plus several spin-off games) on PS2, and all of a sudden a dozen mates and I were reliving our childhoods's.

Also, I was 23 when I began talking about 'my day' :D

If you've got a PS3/360, grab the Ultimate Mega Drive Collection stabby. It's got Phantasy Star I-IV, Sonic 1-Knux, Golden Axe I-III, Streets of Rage 1-3 and a bunch of others.

If you guys want to play one of the best ever 2D platformers, hit up Dynamite Headdy (which is on that collection disc too). Made by Treasure back in 1994, seriously good game.

Speaking of classics - 7TWO have started showing a couple of classic sitcoms. ALF is on 6:00pm weeknights followed by Full House ar 6:30pm.

I can't remember the last time I watched Full House prior to tonight!

I recorded ALF - it was the first show we got to watch in Ceduna after Imparja finally arrived (prior to that we had the choice of two stations - both broadcasting the ABC). Love the 80s hair-dos and fashion sense.

Other than The Nanny, is this the last US sitcom which was actually funny?

Full-House is also interesting - back when Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were still cute, before they grew up into anorexic stick insects.

Seriously, WTF @ the Nanny.

And no, there's been several genuinely funny US sitcoms since the 80's. Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Office (British ripoff but still funny) to name but a few.

Never watched AD or CYE. CYE is by the same guys who wrote Seinfeld, so that doesn't exactly fill me with confidence. It would have to be a dramatic reversal of form for this show to actually be funny.

The British version of The Office was so bad (unfunny) that I never bothered with the US version. To be fair, everything I've read about it indicates that it is infinitely superior to the Ricky Gervais version so I'm not going to pre-judge it on that basis. Apparently it's one of those exceedingly rare creatures - a sitcom which they copied from the UK and actually improved. Nnormally they turn them into train wrecks - just think Kath & Kim, Coupling, Men Behaving Badly.

The UK version of the Office was ok but IMO the American version was so much funnier it’s not funny. Steve Carell and Rainn Wilson are bloody hilarious.

The Nanny?
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz (the ONLY thing half decent is the theme song)
The Office?
never seen it

now Scrubs, now that's a funny show

I'm not saying that The Nanny is "quality television", but it is very very funny.

Oh lord - I can't express how much I disagree ...

My mum thinks The Nanny is funny...I watch it but I rarely laugh...Friends on the other hand :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu: I've watched the whole series through 15 times (that's no exaggeration either) and know most of it off by heart (so no one ever watches it with me because I say the lines before the characters do) but I still crack up :D hopefully the talk about them making a movie is more than just rumours!

Agree with all of this!:thumbsu: I know, I'm a guy and I like Friends, get over it.:D

Showing my age here, but personally I prefer the old British comedies like Are You Being Served? and Fawlty Towers; stuff of that era. That's the kind of thing I find funny.
