3000 words down, only 7000 to go. :) 11 days and counting.

Down to 1500 now by 5pm Friday.

I know you’re all just sitting waiting with baited breath for theses updates. :D

1,500 words on David Unaipon – I’m jumping out of my skin with excitement to get started.

5pm Friday need to be logged onto assignIT and submitted this baby. Then I’m finished. :thumbsu:

5:15 pm Friday - beer o'clock.

Disgusting weather outside.

Heat I can handle, hot winds are just horrid.

Agree.

Plus it just hit 37 degrees.

So much for the milder afternoon change....

Edit: And on that note, less than an hour later, its now a much more pleasant 28 degrees!

Had a hat on so the face survived by I now have red hands....who sunscreen's their hands?

A fortnight ago I did my annual early cricket season forget to put sunscreen on and hence get sunburnt on my face ritual thus resulting in me being quite literally red faced to footy B & F that night.

This week I thought I'd be smarter and sunscreen up, thusforgetting what occurs when I put sunscreen on my forehead, I sweat, it gets in my eyes, and suddenly it looks like the bloke at Deep Fine Leg is tearing up ...

I practised racquetball today. It was stinking hot when I went in, and the courts are the same as squash courts so they're just concrete and wood, the place just radiates heat. Sweat is dripping off me like mad, and my whole shirt was sopping wet. I walked outside after an hour and a half of practise and it was ****ing freezing and my sweaty clothes were icy cold in the wind.

What the **** Adelaide? Pulling a bloody Sydney on me

Hard decision tonight between Homework or Poker...?

I won the tournament so that should make up for not doing homework right? :D

One of my lecturer's parting words this morning were

"Law school's hard, it supposed to be hard, if it were supposed to be easy it'd be called Med school"

Unfair, but hilarious!

Im studying Law at Adelaide :thumbsu:

Your comments are true, the hardest part is getting accepted into the program. The rest is quite annoying and rather boring. Cynical...Yes :) Most people i know are studying Law for the prestige of having a law degree, not because they enjoy the actual course.

Side Note: How many BigFooty posters have/are studying Law :p

I think i'll end up like Dandy taking a prolonged leave of absence :)

Yeah, it's true that being good at maths will make it a hell of a lot easier. It frustrates me how many Engineering students I've taught who tell me they shouldn't have to do maths in an Engineering degree  I'm not sure what they think they'll be doing when (if) they graduate. I usually tell them if they want to being grabbing a hammer and following someone else's blueprint, an apprenticeship is a better path for them than Uni because every part of a Uni degree will involve maths.
I started engineering, switched to commerce after 6 months...then realised I had quite liked the maths part of engineering, and picked up applied maths after a couple of years.

Sadly I've never had the chance to use maths in my job at all.

Hahaha, yeah, maths is something that seems to appeal to lots of employers that don't actually have much of a use for it :p

I started off in CIS doing maths as an elective subject and eventually found out I couldn't keep doing maths electives in my second year because "it's too close to my program". So then I switched my program to maths, and did computer electives, which was apparently okay :p

Happy with my solid 5 hours maths revision session today.:thumbsu: Just have to follow up tomorrow, and the day after that, and the day after that...... until the exam!

In similar news, I've narrowed down my list of "things that I need to write about in my thesis" to the final six or so topics I want to write about (each is a few pages).

Hopefully by the end of next week I'll have my first draft complete! :thumbsu: It's a long way from publishable quality but hey, you need to start somewhere. I'm a lot better at moulding work that's already written than coming up with new writing.

I knew Government departments were slow but I didn't realise they were THIS slow.

My First Home Owner Grant was processed on 3 September. The letter advising the approval from Revenue SA was sent on 22 October!
