If you find anti-liberal, anti-science, right-wing American Christians trying to debunk the theory of evolution and making an absolute embarrassment of themselves as funny as I do then this is worth a watch. The irony of her demanding categoric evidence for the theory of evolution whilst spruiking creationism is delicious. Although I am in no way anti-religious at all I am definitely anti-stupid.

The sad thing is she's probably in charge of a parents group that tries to change school curriculums. She'd get laughed off the premises.

"no one knows" ...shit guess we better pack it in then. Quick shut down the whole science industry.

Her theory on the dragon is brilliant. No point in debating with morons like that

The best part about what can most aptly now be described as the Ferguson debacle is the prosecuting attorney, Bob McCulloch, who I believe played a major part in releasing information to the grand jury throughout the trial and released the "no indictment" verdict this morning, is also a managing director of the fundraising firm that was directly responsible for raising $420,000 for Darren Wilson, the policeman who murdered Michael Brown in cold blood.

Seems somewhat like a conflict of interest.

The sad thing about Ferguson is that the focus is so much on race.

IF, and I stress IF the cop shot him in cold blood (because lets be honest here, even the people who saw what happened gave extremely varying accounts as to what happened- a fair portion said that the kid had his hands up but then rushed the police officer and had been attempting to reach for the officers sidearm during a prior scuffle at an SUV), the focus should be on just that, a cop killing an innocent person, what race he is should not matter at all, it shouldn't happen full stop.

Yet every article I read starts off with a line like:

"70% of Ferguson's 21,000 population are African American yet only 2 police officers aren't white. "

Sure, that's a skewed figure, but what if african american people in ferguson... you know... don't want to be cops?

How about we focus on the fact a young person has lost their life here, and forget that he was black, and if he wasn't as innocent as is to believed, spare a thought for the cop that now has to live with this for the rest of his life being hated by a large portion of the world... if he acted in self defense theres a large chance the guy could commit suicide from the guilt, abuse and pressure put upon him by the public.

Fair amount of interesting information out there about McCulloch which makes you wonder if he was the right person to prosecute such a divisive case.

Not only is he the president of an organisation called "Backstoppers" which appears to be a support network for emergency service workers in America, and which was where the proceeds of the fundraiser for Darren Wilson were held, his father was also a policeman who was killed in a shootout in a housing project.

He also announced the verdict at something like 8pm, a decision which people have slammed because it basically kicked off riots and protests straight away, which continued all night. On the lowest level, it's just dumb.

I get where you're coming from but unfortunately in this particular case race really does matter and is entirely relevant to the events there.

As a general reply to this topic I would encourage people to take a look at John Oliver's analysis of the initial shooting and the riots that proceeded it. He's a comedian so it's funny, but it's well researched, reasoned and informative.

Hi guys just a quick query. My employer has asked me to take unpaid leave after giving me half a days notice. I have been told to take leave from now through to January 19 which is around 5 weeks unpaid leave after my 3 weeks annual leave is deducted. Can anyone shed some light on the legalities of this. Thanks for any help in advance.

Interesting story with whats happening in Ferguson.

Gives the side I spoke about regarding the pressure on officers after these incidents.

About a 3 min vid and well worth the watch.

“If some of the people here gave a good ******* about the victimization of people in this community by crime, I’d take some of their invective more seriously.”

Then Flynn turned his righteous anger toward the race baiters, who were trying to use every event a to call white officers racist.

“The greatest racial disparity in the city of Milwaukee is getting shot and killed, hello! 80 percent of my homicide victims every year are African American. 80 percent of our aggravated assault victims are African American.”

He tore into the the people trying to use a police-involved shooting to push an agenda, instead of facing the real crime that is happening all around them.

“Now, they know all about the last three people that have been killed by the Milwaukee police department over the course of the last several years,” the upset Flynn stated. “There’s not one of them, can name one of the last three homicide victims we’ve had in this city.”

He continued: “This city is at risk all right — but it’s not because men and women in blue risk their lives protecting it.”

I started watching it a couple of months ago, got up to about episode 6 and then stopped because I had too much study to do. The problem is that I completely forgot what was happening and will have to start it again. Is it worth it? I remember liking what I had watched up until episode 6.
