Organised/sponsoring a conference here in town this week.

My boss got to go to the paid-for breakfast and she snaffled me one of the sponsor's 3/4 size Sherrins.

I have the illustrious job of heading down later to pack up our booth, but I've told I'll be down earlier as Ross Glendinning is guest speaker to close the conference. Will be bringing said footy and a couple of textas. :D

So I rock up to the train station in the car this morning, parking spots are normally tight. There's a guy who's parked across two bays, I grab the last spot.

Even though I was set I thought it was rather inconsiderate so I left a note on the windscreen politely communicating, "NICE PARKING DICKHEAD!"
I had another two incidents like this earlier in the week, so I left the customary love letter on each windscreen.

I feel like I'm really connecting with the community.

Had a funny experience on the train too.

A lady gets on with a pram and two kids and parks it next to the 'disabled' seat where a guy is sitting engrossed with his tablet/ipad. Two women start an indignant and not so quiet conversation of what a "flog" the guy was, couldn't believe how inconsiderate he was, shaking their heads for a good two minutes in disgust.

It was only when the man offered a seat next to him to one of the children that the women realised he had a cane on the floor and obviously some sort of disability. As they alighted one sheepishly said, "not a flog after all". How embarrassment.

Had two feral women board a crowded tram yesterday and instantly begin a loud conversation about how inconsiderate people were that they weren't getting offered seat blah blah blah.

One standing bloke who was about a foot and a half taller than everyone else said in the deepest and loudest conversation voice I've ever heard just said "To who? You? I Wouldn't bother even if I WAS sitting down."

They both took a breath to start up on him but were quickly quiet as nearly half the tram burst into laughter.

I just got a call from my dad saying my mum had suddenly passed away.

I don't know what to do. I'm three hours away and completely alone. I'm numb. I can't feel anymore.

Oh dear. So sorry to hear this. I hope you have been able to sort out getting home to your family. Very sad times. All the very best S2A.

A week or two ago I was reading an old thread and came across (soooooo not literally) a post by Reacher, and happened to notice he was logged in.

(Hi Jack, if you're reading this. Let me just say, you have mad lurking skillz. You should totally keep doing that rather than waste your time on posting.)

Chances are it's the job of someone at Wikipedia to do it.

Going home on the Frankston train after a Saturday night game during the season. Nearly everyone well behaved. The only flog (and I kid you not) was a severely disabled guy in a wheel chair. Apart from being loud and obnoxious in his little group, he gave the PSOs an enormous spray when they walked through the carriage. Like the rest of us, they just ignored him - I assumed they didn't want to be seen as politically incorrect either.

Going home on the Frankston train after we beat Richmond in the elim final and two Richmond supporters had a pretty good brawl. Some classy Richmond supporting mothers were yelling at them to "****in' cut it out, we've got our ****in' kids here". The train was stopped at Moorabbin and one of the combatants (the one who threw the first head butt) was "removed". I think they were fighting about the merits of Trent Cotchin as a captain.

It's hard to beat the Frankston line trains for entertainment.

Absolute flog at work going around the office ranting about how shit our head of company is because he supports north (foreign guy who likes the colours as they are similar to his home nations and likes our ethos) .

He's ranting about how shit we are and how we have no morals. How the shinboner spirit is a load of crap. How he's lost respect for the ceo based on going for North. Etc.

Unzips his jacket. Has a bombers jumper on underneath.

Never have i had to hold my tongue harder.

Had 4 blokes once, Upfield line. Muslim lady and 2 kids just quietly sitting on the train. Weak-as-piss bastards started abusing them. What do you do ? The lady and kids decided to get off next stop. I did too and got off with them, same door asking if she was ok and apologising. I was waiting for king-hit and torrent of abuse......it never came.

I hate the trains.
