Wat do you do with know it all DIY home guys and the experts at the Home hardware shop who contradict each other? Totally the opposite advice.
Ask a carpenter. They fix every other tradies ****ups so they will have the right answer.

It's just one of those things that i learnt when i became a chippy... that everyone sucks but me

Ok then fool.

Staining a timber door and entrance.

Paint shop says 3 stains over 3 days with brush. Just did no 2.

Old mate says 1 stain and use mini roller. Then old mate says do 2 more stains but wait for a few days between each.

What would you do fool?

Ps door is 4 weeks old..both said clean gently with steelo b4 start which I did.

Also fool the bottom of the door is now rubbing on the board at the bottom when opening and closing. Iirc this wasn't happening when Tradie put door in.

Is this something that I should let tradie know or not an issue?

Hi guys. Bit of a random question, mainly aimed at those of you with kids. I've noticed (from my 5 minutes googling) that there's a lack of AFL team specific colouring books. If I was to produce a North one, probably A5 size on decent quality paper and around $10-15, would you buy it? It'd be unofficial of course, but I'm thinking a few pages with players to colour, mazes and word searches.
I'm not sure what the licensing laws are, but once you've finished it you should definitely approach the clubs media/marketing department as they would have knowledge about what's allowed in there and if they like it they might want to promote it themselves.

Fantastic idea though. Anything that introduces more kids to NMFC is great. :thumbsu:

Hi Jess I am replying because I really like your posting and I seem to fit the profile you are researching. I wouldn't spend that much on a non-licenced colouring book for my kids.
I hate people who poo-poo others' ideas (and besides I'm only one respondent), but in the spirit of responding to your research request it's a no from me. I hope you do it anyway and score some huge $$$ :thumbsu:

Why not do a design. ..get in touch Nmfc...and see if they would be interested in doing a trial 2017 run in the Junior Members pack?

Start small. Then expand out to the BIG 4 Clubs.

Personally i would use a cloth rather than a roller or brush, but i rarely do staining work, time frame between application is appropriate

Timber can expand/contact/warp so dependant on the timber and a myriad of boring other things... it most likely does need to be fixed but it may be the sill rather then the door, hard to say without actually looking at it

I was thinking of posting pretty much the same thing. We tend to be pretty price sensitive on the 'consumable' type of toys - we wouldn't be spending more than a couple of $ on colouring books, maybe a bit of a premium on NMFC stuff, but not over the $10 barrier.

The suggestion about seeing if you can get it put into the Junior supporters packs is a good one, though. God knows it would be more welcome than some of the crap already there. Maybe contact the membership department to see if you can pitch them your idea.

Did I say Junior?

I meant Senior.

I would do a dot to dot of Plan A to Plan B.

Today I passed my driving test! Thanks for all of the friendly tips and advice that I got from everyone. Unfortunately for you, I shall be sharing the very same roads...

In all honesty, I was a bit nervous and hungover as I left a certain establishment at around 12:30 this morning, but I'm sure someone on here suggested doing that anyway.

So cheers heaps, it means a lot.
