Its been on my mind for quite sometime now but am now growing increasingly disenfranchised with where football is at at the moment and wanted to raise a few points. Im completely sick of the way games are being umpired. Last night was the straw that broke the camels back. The amount of times i go to the football these days and see the umpires pay the most pathetic free kicks. I sit in the stands and see north get awarded free kicks for nothing and look at my mates and we just laugh. The problem is that this will decide a grand final one day. Players are no longer rewarded for been 1st to the footy. If you lay a solid tackle and the ball spills out its f***ing incorrect disposal not play on. I want football to be played the way it was in the 90's. I want to see the quarter time melee with the push and shove. Football is soft and I've had enough. Vent over!

Did Eddie just have a spoonerism? Sure he just called Kane Cornes an old ****.
I just switched over to that show - seen 5 minutes and all I got was 5 mins of Collingwood - switched straight back off.... Never to watch again!

Got a few I just thought of........

Anyone notice the scoreboard in the game against Collingwood when they score their first point?

COLL 0.99.99 NMELB 1.0.6

By the time I dug my phone out of my pocket to take a pic it read:

COLL 0.98.98 NMELB 1.0.6

Bugger of a thing was correct by the time I managed to get my phone to the camera.

Last weekend...

Crowley had been bugging Boomer the whole first half (when he could catch him). So when the second half was about to get underway and Harvey is trying to do up his bootlace, did anyone notice the outrageous actions of Crowley in continually bumping him as he bent down. My god, how dare he?? I'm sure if Boomer had leapt up and got the prick in a headlock to the point of him being unable to breathe and needing other players to get him off, the MRP surely would've PRAISED Harvey on his RESTRAINT in not just pummelling the shit out of shit instead? The precedent has been set, as we all know..... :p

I'm not sure who it was but in the third when Harvey wheeled around towards goal around CHF spot, some Docker shithead lashed out with the boot as he fell to the ground. Attempted tripping is still reportable isn't it? I would've check the replay but FoxFooty seemed to have a hard-on for replaying the Coll-Ess match all bloody night.

Finally, I have no love for Heppell whatsoever. My half-Essendon family love pointing out the number of possesions he gets, to which I point out how the brave soul always seems magically way out on his own getting them from teammates who all do the hard work in the packs - and we all know how hard he runs when he knows when a man-mountain like Thomas is bearing down on him.

So his effort against the Pies, when the ball was there to be won, where he saw what was coming, shat himself and literally pulled up with short steps, screamed to me to be the efforts of a typical squib which caused a goal to the opposition from the bit of play here. (This resulted in a throw-in I think which the Pies took directly down for a goal).

Am I being too hard on him? This caused an almightly blue in our house about whether he "bravely rode the bump" or "squibbed it and cost his team who were heading towards goal".

Not sure if this has been mentioned or is even worth mentioning but has anyone watched the joel tippet debut video? At around 1 minute and 3.5 seconds is that brad scott saying "all the centre get into him"? And is this refering to the midfielders getting into Ryan Crowley and to support boomer? If so then i am a proud supporter of the footy club.

soccer question. Barcelona play athletic madrid in the final round of La Liga. If it is no longer mathematically possible to win the title would they throw the game to ensure Real Madrid don't win?

Should be done and dusted by then, Atletico win their next two and the title is theirs regardless. The win at Valencia this weekend was massive

F***ing oath. Which is what Everton will do to Pool regardless of Europe or not.

Probably. Given Ziebell gave away an off the ball free on Crowley in the first few minutes, I reckon there was a team directive to provide more protection.

Well, so there should have been. The lack of protection of Boomer last year was a disgrace.

We need to rough up taggers the way Geelong roughed up young Langford a couple of weeks ago. He looked stuffed as he jog / limped from the field in the 3rd qtr.

Yep, totally agree. As I said last week, Selwood would love having a 110kg 'body guard' at FF. The best teams all do this. Sadly Tarrant is one of our better players in this regard.

Surely Everton care more about playing in Europe more than the Reds winning the EPL.
They are safe for Europe. Have a 9 point minus 1 game and 5 goal advantage over United who are nowhere near interested in Europa.
Im hoping like hell West Brom and Norwich aswell as Villa and WHU who are all relegation threatened come out firing but Im not holding my hopes up.

Pfft Arsenal are a different animal with Ramsey and Ozil back. Everton don't stand a chance. They had their chance but they choked big time.
A lot was made of them smashing Arsenal 3-0 but what the media doesn't report is that Arsenal had 7 out of 11 first team players out.

Arsenal NEED Saunders!
