Just came here to have a bit of a proud moment. Having a conversation with a student I taught when they were in Year 5. They turn 21 this year. Asked what they were up to now. They're completing their teaching degree because they saw how much I loved it and the difference I made to them even as a student teacher. I've had some really nice things said to me from kids and parents before but this made me so bloody happy.

That genuinely put a smile on my face. Good job mate. A good teacher is so important and influential. My old teacher from year 11 and 12 was a bigger influence and role model for me than anyone. I still keep in contact with him to this day. I owe him alot and cant thank him enough. Im sure your student feels the same and you should be proud as punch

Waiting for my new futon to be delivered, got a thunderstorm imminent. This could get interesting. Where the hell are they!!!

Update: Delivery peeps awesome. Neither rain nor thunderstorm with lightening crackling overhead shall stop them. My new futon is very pretty, even if it doesn't have the legs on yet.

Man. Adelaide fringe opening weekend & the garden is a complete flop. Sad ppl find a small noisy expensive cramped room more enjoyable than a place with a heapa local producers & a mutha f'n ferris wheel.... Seriously South Australia. WTF is wrong with u. U r broken.

I feel sorry they think they need drugs to have a good night. IMO it just shows that they lack confidence in themselves &/or self control.

There's a difference between 'needing' and 'enhancing' though. Alcohol does immeasurably more damage than illicit drugs but doesn't cop anywhere near the same amount of negativity.

Bunch of mates did a sunday run 20k up to rocherlea like the worst suburb here they ran past 28 cars in the suburb burnt out, including one onn fire

I drove past 4 on the 2 hour drive to hobart, bet all on ice

Ice is genuinely horrific and is destroying countless lives every day, but there is a massive difference between that and the types of drugs that would have been at the event Bedford was referring to. The majority of the people there who were indulging in party drugs so to speak would never touch ice, completely different crowds.

I wont pretend to be a drug expert at all. Im just sick of people ruining others lives with their behaviour and also people profiting from the misery of people and their families
