Always has been, teams in the State Leagues are all ethnic based. Don't tell me you think it's a better game than ours on a footy site.
miggs must be dating where is romeo.

I am not going to go into a huge thing about the "ethnic" side of things. But the A-league isn't ethnic based.

And yes where is miggs?

You're gonna get in trouble saying that :p

No need to be scared of Bedford, he's like the old bloke with a crusty exterior but a heart of gold.

Hes probably still at lunch with WAs bs time difference

I just stalked him. He's given up women in favour of WWF. Might have better luck over there TBH

I can understand so many people enjoying soccer around the world due to the basic nature of it and how easy it is for anyone to understand, but it is really hard to follow and be passionate about a sport that requires little to no toughness or courage to play. Also quite a few Australian soccer fans are morons.

Soccer is a highly skilful sport. Does it have to
be "tough" to be enjoyed or to evoke passion?

Hmm there are many moronic aussie rules supporters too!

Yeh absolutely, I admire and respect the skill it takes to play. It's just a personal opinion on what evokes passion I guess but I absolutely despise the way soccer players carry on when 'injured' and dive for free-kicks etc. You're right about moronic Aussie Rules supporters, Sydney fans know better than most considering the way Goodesy was treated. The issue with soccer fans though is there seems to be groups that go to the games with the sole purpose of causing trouble, gives the rest of you a bad name I guess.

Congratulations CD__ on the inevitable username shortening.

Yep agreed some do go with the sole purpose to cause trouble. But that's some and people shouldn't lump all supporters in the same basket. I would also argue they aren't really fans if their sole purpose is to go to games and cause trouble. Btw the way Goodes was treated IMO is worse than some idiots throwing flares or whatever.

The atmosphere at the games is great. And I guess most people don't like the A-League but seriously going to a Wanderers game the cheering and singing is constant (nowhere the same level of atmosphere at say a South American or European match but it is pretty cool). And the A-league is getting better, it will never compete with the big clubs overseas of course due to $$ etc.

Im here now. You can all relax.

Nothing wrong with football (dont call it soccer ever)

I admire the fitness and skill but the diving and faking injuries is shit. Thats the reason it will never be as good as AFL for me.

Wipe that shit out and it would be up their with the best sport in the world

Aww sorry. I used to like it when I was younger (I loved watching the Windies play) but I just got over it.

I'm sure watching you play would be exciting though. ;)
