Its all about a deadbeat selling the story for $$$

Regardless of the sex of the person an AFL player is sleeping with, selling your sexual history for money or headlines is a very low act. I couldn't care less who a Swans player chooses to sleep with, as long as it is consensual sex thats legal. (Maybe not with the captains wife like W. Carey but that is a different story).

The journalists that print this shit are the low lives as well.

The first AFL player to come out would be a big deal. Maybe not for everyone, but it would mean a whole lot for a lot of people who have been involved in the game and felt excluded or shunned because of their sexuality, or felt compelled to hide that aspect of themselves and keep their mouths shut when surrounded by the regular homophobia that gets expressed within football clubs.

I loved playing football. I did so until I was 19. One part of my decision to stop was that I really disliked the fact that to play football I had to spend so much time in an environment in which I never felt comfortable or welcome. I was one of the ones who never saw the point in being openly queer so just stayed quiet. Of course It meant I was disconnected from a lot of went on and was seen as an outsider anyway. Sometimes you can't win. There was only so long I could do that for.

So yeah, an AFL player coming out would mean a lot. It could be the start of a big cultural change that we need to have. Of course, it might not be too, it might just end up being a total shit fight for the individual involved who faces a whole lot of scrutiny, cops a lot of abuse, and nothing changes because we still live in a shitty society in which that still happens regularly. So, I totally understand why none have yet done so.

Yeah, it would be great if this wasn't still something we are talking about, that we were just over it. The reality is, we aren't. No where near it. I would like to think that the Sydney Swans would be a club in which a player felt no pressure to hide their sexuality. We have been amongst the best at promoting the anti-homophobic message. But still, if we do have a queer player on the list it should be up to them on how public they make that. Being outed for by some self-serving minor celebrity (I'm guessing? I have no idea who this person is) is not the way it should happen.

We used to ride the trains in school holidays from Cootamundra to Junee ..
And pretty much any other place. What a hoot. Hours up in the signal box at Coota and then my brother and I would gets ‘lifts’ in the engines all around the Riverina and not a parental unit in sight until we rocked back home at dark.
Fun times.
 
Interesting town Junee, the breakfast joint is like a sheltered workshop , the chocolate factory where the wedding was , was outstanding and the RSL was good. Great wedding with a AFL player in attendance, one that played well against us this year.

That's the point. It doesn't.

It is about control and seeming.

Get language redefined, get people saying stuff they don't believe by rote and there you have it. A leftist wet dream.

Once you control language and meaning then you can control thought.

Few books written about it. Get them while you can.

As you can see by all those wonderful leftists now getting sacked that were avowed feminists for raping people and plants ffs they don't care and it doesn't matter.

It is all about control. We all have to celebrate diversity by thinking the same. Explain that one. This is a logical extension.

Please don’t make this a left v right thing. I’m sure 99.99% of left leaning people think that the terms batsperson and ruckperson are utterly ridiculous.
