Do you compare and rank the male commentators against each other too?

ha, i do ... they're nearly all unlistenable ... whether it be ignorance, bias, blinkers on, "back in my day" w@ankery, mcavaney-style starry-eyed quoit kissing or just the torrent of cometti-wannabe cliches
i have no problem with kelli underwood possibly because she hasn't been around long enough to become tiresome ...
i don't understand how people can have a problem with her "voice" ... the likes of fathead taylor, brayshaw, dwayne russell, david king, montagna et al are just as grating in their own way ...
people complaining about underwood will likely complain about almost anything
the simple solution, as with all other commentary annoyance, is just mute the damn thing

I'm a big fan of female commentators in sports.
Especially in the cricket and the golf.
Eg Kass Naidoo, Natalie Germanos. Isha Guha, Ali Whittaker , Ali Mitchell, Katey Martin , Mel Jones etc.
The current NZ vs SA cricket has a 50/50 split men/women team.

Kelli Underwood is not good in the box.
Her Delivery and tone is not enjoyable to listen to.

Kelly Underwoods voice is like nails down a blackboard. I'm no fan of BT, Brayshaw etc but at least their voices don't make me grit my teeth.
Whilst she appears to have reasonable footy knowledge, she so often gets things muddled up and a professional commentator shouldn't be doing that.
Isa Guha is the gold standard - for male and female.

Thankfully he isnt around as much now

Watson can hardly string a sentence together
Lewis constantly says like four words, then immediately repeats them
Selwood doesnt even know players names, ended up in our b&f footage calling McLean (?) "the big fella"
Hearing Mark Howard is irritating but his words and reactions contribute to that

Shes overall much more articulate and coherent than the average

Jess has improved since calling VFL and i know what you mean about the aussie accent
