Just to take up Rocco's cudgels (and sideline the Heat) what about Amare for Bosh straight up. No idea if the money works and at this hour I don't much care.

All indications are Phx are just cutting salary (i.e. no to Bosh) - so I'd think they'd want 1 quality young guy + expiring contract + 1st rounder.

Had a good chuckle reading that this morning. Methinks Chadsky is undervaluing Amare by roughly two 1st-rounders in each case. The only semi-logical deal is Marion+Beasley, but Amare's made it clear that he wants to be the no.1 guy on his team, which won't happen in Miami.

We wont trade Beasley. If the same draft were tomorrow and we had pick 1, Riley would still draft Beasley.

How about this; Marion and Banks for Marbury and David Lee.

I'll wait to be scoffed at before I present the arguments.

LOL. Riley publically acknowledged he wanted Rose, and thought long and hard about Beasley vs. Mayo before picking Beasley.

In fact, DX were reporting he was basically for Mayo but was talked into Beasley by his scouting staff.

How about this; Marion and James Jones and a 1st rounder for Marbury and David Lee.

Fixed.

Problem for PHX is that Stat's trade value and worth is dropping steadily by the week.

When did he do this? I don't think he'd say it now as Chalmers has surpassed all expectations (no, I'm not saying he's as good as Rose). But anyway silly argument.

Your revised Marbury trade is all well and good except that (cue the laughter) we traded our first rounder along with Antoine Walker for Ricky Davis and Mark Blount.

How about Marion for Oden and LaFrentz?

nup.

LMA for Amare is too good for Phx to hope for, no way do Portland throw in Bayless aswell.

Haha yeh i figured that much. I can still wish and hope though

I really don't like Yi Jianlian that much but what are peoples thoughts on this Ryan Andersen? Wish we could get Brook Lopez out of it and give them Robin :)

That's alot to give up for a bloke not guaranteed to stay more than 18 months.

Speaking of Felton, what do people think about the Felton for Tinsley trade rumours seemingly getting stronger...Nazr, Sean May & Jeff Foster, 'Quis also involved to balance things out.

Felton has been considered more marginal at Charlotte because of DJ Augustin, and now they want Jamaal Tinsley! And Foster joins Okafor and Diop on the C depth chart.

Indiana do better although they just got TJ Ford in the JON deal in the summer and they have to take on Nazr Mohammed's deal. And reinforce the floor for Sean May, who at least is an expiring.

Not sure I see the logic for the 'Cats.

I think i'm dreaming for this trade but i would love to see it.

Amar'e + Alando Tucker (Cap Filler)
for
Lamarcus Aldridge, Jerryd Bayless and Raef Lafrentz (Expiring Contract)

I'm sure the deal can go through without Tucker and Bayless but i would love to see it done. Doubt it though.

Lol did these guys read my post?

"The Portland Trail Blazers have made a strong play for Amare Stoudemire, discussing a package that includes LaMarcus Aldridge, Jerryd Bayless, and Raef LeFrentz's $12.7 million expiring contract, a person with direct knowledge of the talks told CBSSports.com Tuesday."

I'm surprised given all this trade talk of Amare that Shaq has still be partaking in back to back games. I would have thought it would be the perfect way to pump up his stats. Confusing if we want to rebuild and we're looking at trading a 26 year old.

Anyways I'd like to trade Terry Porter for Anthony Carter. Carter would bring in some coaching ability, whilst Terry could ball better than AC. Perhaps a slab of Red Bull to sweeten the deal?

Wasn't it it you telling me last year that it was a good idea by the Suns NOT to trade Amare for Garnett two off-seasons ago, and that Amare will be the cnetrepiece of the Suns for another decade? :)

I've had an attempt at an Amare trade using some Timberwolves assets to grease the skids. This gets Amare to Chicago.

Chicago gets: Amare Stoudamire, Mike Miller

Phoenix gets: Tyrus Thomas, Thabo Sefalosha, Rashad McCants and Jason Collins (thats $9mil expiring from the two Wolves) plus Miami's 2009 first rounder and a future 1st rounder (Utah's - top 22 protected in 2009, with protection in the teens until 2014. But it's Utah, so it's effectively a 2010 1st)

Minnesota gets: Leandro Barbosa, Larry Hughes and Joakim Noah.

Phoenix pick up a young forward and a solid backup and picks and some immediate cap space into the bargain. They also get to send their former star into the East.

Chicago get the main prize plus a sometimes useful outside shooter who if he doesn't work out is a 9mil expiring in 2010.

Minnesota get help in the front and back court and swallow Larry Hughes' deal for the Bulls.

I know Chicago would be unlikely to move Thomas and Noah in one deal, but a guy can dream.
