Thats just the playing side of it, as for watching someone else do it?? Give me a nice hollow wave any day..
I dont mind beach/indoor/backyard but tests are boring.

The test isn't to be watched ball-by-ball. It is to be on the TV or the radio as you go about your day, dipped into occasionally when you've got a moment, on in the background at a barbeque, on mute in the corner of the pub, furtively checking scores when you get a chance at work, maybe watch a session if you find yourself at a loose end.

Only the most dedicated are going to watch every ball, but, like I said, 5-test series where you get 25 days of slowly unfolding, complicated sport over a couple of months are fantastic. Like a Tolstoy novel.
 
Has any one seen the movie Hachi? I hear it's a real tearjerker. Dling ATM.

Oh my god this is the best movie in the whole universe barring HPs... except this is based on a true story which is even worse.

yeah I keep an eye on the score and might make an effort to see the end if its close, the rest I can watch in a 5 minute highlight package..

not sure if youre serious when you say 'complicated sport'..

Absolutely serious. The variability of pitch conditions, the ball, the weather, time, etc are one of the game's best features.
