A few times over the last 3 years. At least 3 times that I can think of. I just go to Greengate to have a beer or two or to watch rugby with mates or to partake in the best value Schnitzel in Sydney that I've found. Good place for that.
Best trivia on the upper north shore was pre-renovations at the Great Northern at Chatswood. Andrew Coorey has moved on as MC with one of his minions taking over, meaning the questions are top notch but the banter sub-par.
Think he moved on to the Olympic at Moore Park and Bondi Lifesaving Club.

A friend of mine used to work there as early as 3 months ago and she says everything there has gone waaaaaaaaaaaaay down hill. Losing quite a bit of money apparently.
It's 'cause the renovations ****ed the place up the arse. Turned it from a great big old homely pub to some eggplant-monstrosity, but with infinitely more intrusive gambling facilities. An utterly cynical exercise that tried to make it simultaneously both a haven for degenerate gamblers, and a shitty 'new' pub, but it just completely destroyed the place.
Biggest crime was what they did to the pool room. National disgrace.
Still has a nice beer garden, though.
I'd imagine the fact all the road works in the area are finishing up, plus a slowing of apartment-building would do a bit of damage, too. Used to be a good mix of people in there of an early evening.
Lack of Coorey would definitely hurt, too. The guy used to pack the place out on a Tuesday. The few times I've been back in the years since he's left have been a different experience.

Went to a paralegal interview for a firm in the city. Fingers crossed but I don't think I'll get it - I'm the only first year student out of 22 interviewees. Ah well, at least I've broken the 'First legal interview' barrier. I want that job so badly - seems awesome.
