PWinsider is reporting Randy Orton was suspended ''for unknown reasons''.

This will put a dent in the WWEs plans to make Randy the champ.

Randy probably just said some ******** about how pathetic it was Rey winning the title. I doubt whether the WWE can afford to keep some of their best talent out of the ring at the moment.

If it was a lower card wrestler then they would've been fired on the spot.

I personally think he made comments about Rey's World Title win and about he only won because of Eddie's death. Fair enough comment as well.

The whole Rey/Orton/Eddie thing was a storyline. I doubt it has anything to do with that.

To be suspended for real, you would have to be involved in real backstage fights or something that brings embarassment to the company.

Well Orton was in a title match on Smackdown this week so did this occur after the taping of the show?

WWE are making Orton look like a real loser at the moment, losing clean to Mysterio and looking like a gumbie not being able to hold on to Rey once he has him in the air. Seriously, wraps him up in a standing hold and tries to strike Rey in the chest but you can barely see Rey. Looks like an adult beating a kid and then we are expected to believe he can't hold him. Rey winning in a triple threat is fine but Rey winning against the big guys one on one is pretty silly.

Giving him the title was self indulgent but there was a reason for it. Allowing him to successfully defend the title against one of the main contenders is pretty tacky IMO. If crowd pop is the defining factor is getting the title, maybe Eugene should win it.

Orton won it on Raw and held it for a month, Edge finally won it and held it for .... what was it? A week? There is zero mileage in Rey holding the title for any length of time.

He hasn't actually started his suspension yet.

As for the reasons, it is a cumulative effect of several incidents, totally unrelated to the wellness policy.

according to Meltzer this week:

Randy Orton's suspension is a minimum 60 days - it's actually an indefinite suspension, and the incident is so bad that it's not a lock he'll be brought back.

The main incident happened after No Way Out, but they decided against suspending him immediately because of WM.

Kennedy is actually being talked about as taking his spot.

I'm a huge Orton fan - he can tell a great ring story, has great charisma, sells really well and, like the greats - Stone Cold, Rocky, Angle, HHH etc - he doesn't have to go off the top rope to do it.

I struggle when Rey kicks out from Orton - it's the equivalent of a 3 year old kicking out from me! I find it hard to suspend my disbelief to that level.

WWE will be worse off without Randy.

It is being reported as a string of incidents accumalating some annoyance at Head office. One after No Way Out and the latest incident seems is a Russel Crowe type adventure with a hotel employee.(less phone throwing)

Well WWE might lose me if they sack him permanently. They seem to give some guys all the chances and not others.

How self serving is it of them to keep him for Wrestlemania then make him serve a lengthy suspension with a possibility of not coming back? If what he did was so bad so as to deserve a lengthy suspension, then they should have suspended him right away. What they are saying is the product means more than their morals (as if we didn't already know that). I am sure Orton has agreed to a set suspension in return for turning on a decent WM leadup. If they said he might not be back, he simply doesn't need to sell WM as much as he did.

Pity really because I think he would have been set for a title reign immediately after Rey got it. Weird though that they brought Orton back after WM to give Rey his first title defence. Perhaps part of his punishment is that he has to lay down and lose credibility for a while.

I have zero faith in the WWE doing the right thing by anybody bar Triple H. We all know what Billy Gunn had to say about Triple H and his screwing of Orton. Makes me sick to see the Game sitting in the front seats with the McMahons at the HOF ceremony, like he is king ********. Will end up being the most successful champion in the history of the WWE and will get sold that way when he is inducted into the HOF, yet as far as the fans go he is a long way down the scale of wrestling legends.

All of the wrestlers backstage have to indulge Triple H's massive ego these days. Any dissent and he is like a quasi manager, recommending disciplinary action against them. My opinion only but that's what I believe.

i've read that Orton has been suspened because he continues to assault the women back stage. It is a known fact that the other wrestlers do not like him, especially The undertaker.

Also got this from the net:
There are reports that he simply may not be brought back.

To keep him away from TNA, they may keep him under contract until his deal is over, while paying him the smallest amount of money possible. Orton would just have to stay at home collecting checks as he wouldn't be able to work anywhere else.

There are some in the company who believe that he would benefit from counseling.
