A

Masten after Hutchings? You crazy.
once Hutchings cemented his spot in our side he started consistently stringing good games together. Id argue that the last 8 games of the year including finals, that Hutchings was superior to Mastens contributions.

The games when masten was returning from injury/suspension? Ok mate.

biting someone and having a holiday where his "niggles" were rested gives him a hall pass? Ok mate...
There's something called form. Masten is twice the player Hutchings is and always will be, there is a reason simmo said Hutchings was lucky others were injured.

and whose he got to blame for that?

he ought to be considering where he was taken in the draft. But at this stage id say Hutchings had a better year, particularly during the finals.

Then why did Hutchings not come close to him in the bnf? Or do you know more then the coach?

And Schofield and McGovern didn't make the top 10 must of had an average year.

B&F depends a lot on games played rather then actual performances.

We will see next year who out of Hill, Masten and Duggan get the last 2 spots in the best 22.

I know we all love Yeo but to rate him as our second best mid is absolutely insane

Definitely. Needs to find that consistency. We know he can dominate games as a midfielder as he did early in 2015 but he was very up and down all year. His constantly changing role probably hurt his momentum.

Hutchings performs in finals, those type of players will be more valued in 2016.

Masten amongst many others did not perform to the standard Hutchings did in finals.

1. Shuey
2. Gaff
3. Priddis
4. Yeo
5. Lecras
6. Masten
7. Shred
8. Duggan
9. Rosa
10. Hutch

Would have Yeo higher but he didn't play pure mid this year although he probably is the highest impact mid (maybe second to Shuey around stoppages) but he Would also drift in and out of games for far too long but I suspect that being due to positional requirements.

Current squad:
1. Shuey
2. Gaff
3. Priddis
4. Redden
5. Yeo
6. Jetta
7. Lecras
8. Masten
9. Shred
10. Duggan

Wow, didn't realize how good our midfield looks on paper.

You seem to have a terrible 22, care to share it? Why do you think high didn't play those games? Because he sucks.

Hutchings definitely performed in the gf. I'm not sure hutching will play for the club again, masten is a certainty to.

Actually Duggan and Hill take my last two spots and Masten is the emergency. Neither Hutchings or Masten are best 22.
I love duggan but no way does he get a spot over masto next year. We are a team competing for the premiership.

Hutchings was in the top 3 best performed for WC in 2 out of 3 finals.

Masten is still yet to show any form of the sort. Coaches favorites are always those who perform in September, what I think will likely happen is Masten gets a free pass by the MC due to 'injury and suspension ' stifling his form when in reality 2016 finals series should we make it, will expose Masten.

I think the whole class of draftees from around Mastens year including Selwood, Swift and Ebert were servicable but liabilities all the same in high pressure low scoring games such as most finals tend to be.

He would of played more this year if he wasn't injured. Like Sheed if we expose him we can fast track his development.

Masten has reached his ceiling. This is as good as he gets. 2 goals for the entire year and 2.7 inside 50s a game.
