Yeah, Geelong were a beast in 2007, head and shoulders above the next best.

Personally, I thought that after the round 21 victory over the cats, Port could have mounted as a respectable opponent in the finals.

Both Port and Geelong had a similar vein of form in the finals pre Grand Final.

Pity the Eagles fell apart after their defeat at The Cattery, if fully fit and cohesive, they could have given Geelong an almighty shake that season.

I put it down to one of those days. Just particularly bad timing - Geelong were hungry too and bullied Port that day. Too bad they weren't a bit hungrier the next year.

There were strong clubs in that season as well.

Any one of the top 7 side of 2010 would have been strong contenders for the last 2 premierships.

Geelong in 08 is the obvious one but I think you are forgetting just how good the Sydney of 2014 team was. I mean the Grand Final was awful, but the team played some of the most dominant football I have ever seen from a Swans team in 2014. The match where the Swans dismantled Geelong by over 100 points was truly amazing to watch.

Of course 2014 Sydney were very good. This isn't even subtle Bay 13 material.... his bottom 3 all below Port 2007.

How this stuff remains on the main board is laughable. Lol.

Cos there’s quite a few better performers in in the list of grand final losers. Even purely on a points basis. The pussies even drifter 10points in the final quarter

The only reason you had a higher percentage is because half the comp was half as bad as it was compared to our 08 era.

I'd say if our 08 side played your 11 side 20 times over. We would've won around 18 of those.
