In order of prestige,

Brownlow, Club B&F, MVP, AA, Coleman Medal, Norm Smith.

For me it is,

MVP
Brownlow
AA
Club B&F
Norm Smith
Coleman

Norm Smith is the highest - cause 9 out of 10 times, it comes with a matching Premiership medal.

How could the MVP be more prestigious than the Brownlow? More credible maybe, but prestige is the major thing the Brownlow has going for it.

I'm not so sure about it's credibility even. i mean with players focussed ont heir roles, over a hundred rotations a game do you really think they pay that much attention to who is going well for the other side unless it's their man? i reckon there'd be quite a few who would by default just vote ablett, riewoldt, pavlich etc. or the opposite, i recall franklin getting bugger all votes form collingwood in 2008 despite playing blinders and kicking bags in both games(from memory). and you also have players voting for their brothers, scott selwood hadn't even debuted had he?

Oh I thought the MVP was the one the coaches vote on, but you are right. Guess that's indicative of how little attention I pay to league best and fairest awards besides the Brownlow.

In order of prestige,

Brownlow, Club B&F, MVP, AA, Coleman Medal, Norm Smith.

since you say prestige, for me:

Brownlow - just is, biggest hype
MVP - see how players are ranked per coaches
Club B&F - helps me see where the club ranks our players
Norm Smith - to turn it on in the big dance and usually help your team win, special
Coleman Medal - season long performance, outstanding effort
AA - always controversial, and for me kind of pointless

this is also based on how much interest I have in the award I suppose

Brownlow
All Australian
Norm Smith
B & F
MVP
Coleman

In ~30 years, the Coleman and AA selection have probably swapped places. MVP still finding its niche.

club B&F depends on how the club is going.

ie. it would be much more prestigious to be a er geelong best and fairest this year than it would to be a west coast best and fairest.

tthis year i would rate the copeland higher than AA. actually i would most years unless we have a shocking year.

Prestige?

Brownlow
AA
Norm Smith
MVP
Coleman
BnF

The first two aren't worth a pinch of shit IMO though. Most accurate qualitative award probably the BnF.

What I personally think are more 'valuable' (prob. not right word...)

Brownlow
MVP
Norm Smith
Coleman
Club B&F
AA

Brownlow

Norm Smith - Just don't think a medal for the best player on the GF is very...I don't know what the word is but they could have been dodgy all year then have one breakout game.

Pretty rare occurence - whilst the winnner isn't always an exceptional footballer - none spring to mind that have had a poor year
