Brownlow

Norm Smith

Coleman
Club B&F
How could the MVP be more prestigious than the Brownlow? More credible maybe, but prestige is the major thing the Brownlow has going for it.
I'm not so sure about it's credibility even. i mean with players focussed ont heir roles, over a hundred rotations a game do you really think they pay that much attention to who is going well for the other side unless it's their man? i reckon there'd be quite a few who would by default just vote ablett, riewoldt, pavlich etc. or the opposite, i recall franklin getting bugger all votes form collingwood in 2008 despite playing blinders and kicking bags in both games(from memory). and you also have players voting for their brothers, scott selwood hadn't even debuted had he?
Very good point. How could the MVP be more prestigious than the Brownlow? More credible maybe, but prestige is the major thing the Brownlow has going for it.
In order of prestige,
Brownlow, Club B&F, MVP, AA, Coleman Medal, Norm Smith.
Most accurate qualitative award probably the BnF.
Norm Smith - Just don't think a medal for the best player on the GF is very...I don't know what the word is but they could have been dodgy all year then have one breakout game.
