Isn't it funny, this time last year I thought Raph might be gone.

His last 5 or 6 games this year has given me new faith in the bloke.

Keep it up Raph - fire up in 2009 !!
 
I still think X is the better player, just needs to get himself on the park. Raph, not convinced yet, not the first player to have a cracking spell of games when he knows he's skating on thin ice
 
Raph is just starting to reach his real potential and will be a great backman next year! To be honest im surprised they didnt try and trade x, he can stay on his feet and is just another outside runner doesnt get the hard ball not what we need right now.

I must admit I'd just about given up on Raph ever being a good player for us until he strung those good games together at the end of the year. Hopefully he can keep that good form going into next year as he could be a very valuable player for us running off half back and allowing Gram and Fisher to move up into the midfield.
 
Have to agree that X has probably shown more potential over time. And would like to see both the Clarkes play a season at their best. I think that X actually does have the toughness required, along with the skill.

In fact, X in hot form could smash them !!!

I still have doubts about Raph being a backman. He has been tried to death in that role, and we only saw him play well when we took him forward.

I would have prefferred X get another chance against the Hawks ahead of Fiora.
 
Agree. Let Raph play as a roaming defender - let him use his pace and height to advantage. He is not a body type of player, and probably never will be. If anything, could be a promising tall wingman, but needs a bigger tank I guess.

X is a gun !! Just needs to get his body right for a year !!

x would be a good half back flanker, release gram, goddard and even ray into the middle

yeap, in the past, he has lacked self-belief... and a coach that won't have him almost crippled with back injuries by the time he's 20! Rossco is Raph's savior.
