D Wells is the absolute definition of front runner. Absolutely pathetic today, didn't even have a crack. I'd take McVeigh every day of the week and so would anyone else with a bit of sense.

Guess Goodes, Stanton, Deledio, Ball, Pendlebury, Adcock etc are pretty shit aswell, they all played shit in round 1

Wells - Round 1 last year 12 disposals, 2 behinds, 1 tackle

From rounds 2-7 last year Wells averaged 23 disposals and kicked 6 goals (read somewhere he had the most of any midfielder??) and was also Top 3 in the Brownlow at that stage. Then stuffed his knee in a match and missed 6 games. When he came back played some decent footy

Come back after 3-4 rounds and bag him if he's put together a few performances like today and bag the shit through him, couldnt care less, but after 1 round

Hypothetically what would he be worth in a trade deal??

I couldn't see him getting a top 10 pick on previous performance. Maybe late first round or early second round plus an average player.

I don't think North will trade him or even consider it for that matter but this is a pure hypothetical question.

A good player with plenty of talent.

At this stage a long way from a great player. His good games can be exceptionally good but seems to have a couple of quite ordinary ones for every one of these good ones.

Still sounds about right.
