Analysis Rate the current playing list

I was watching Talking Footy last night and they were rating the Richmond players. I figured it would be interesting for us to do the same for the Crows.

Give each player a rating: A, B, C, D or Not Rated (Under 10 games). Rate each player based on their current level, not on what you think their potential future level could be. Here is the current senior playing list (excluding rookies):

If I wanted to get more granular, I’d probably have:

Talia, Walker and Smith as A-
Scott Thompson and Rory Laird as B+
Jarryd Lyons as a B-
Riley Knight, David McKay, Kyle Hartigan and Rory Atkins as C+

So how do you rate the current playing list?

Thompson is A grade this year. Laird A grade.
Lever and Brad Crouch will be a grade soon enough, Milera too.
Atkins moving into B grade.

A grade is top tier though. A grade players should basically be AA squad members or just outside it (and Laird would be very, very close to that). Thompson's speed and defensive side (outside of tackling in stoppages) is probably the only thing stopping him from me rating him as A grade.

based on what the players have done so far, i dont think we could grade Bcrouch as anything more than c grade IMO. i think he has the skills/potential and all that, however he unfortunately injuries has slowed his progress

Laird was AA squad last year and B&F runner up.

I think he's rightly categorised as an A grader.
