Definitely where the game shines, getting in a good group with a good connection can mean hours of fun
the single player on cod4 was great but short...the online is obviously the highlight of the package
and jordan...... be prepared to get your ass handed to you on a platter.

A few I might throw in here. They are all PC games.
Mass Effect - 9 (equal favourite RPG ever)
Half-Life 2 - 9.5 (as good as FPS games get in my opinion)
Prey - 4 (very meh sort of corridor shooter. I played through until the end but I was glad when it was over. The story line was the only thing semi-decent)
The Witcher - 9 (equals Mass Effect. The updated version should be pushing 9.5 or even 10)
World In Conflict - 6.5 (I liked the campaign and the battles look great but the multiplayer was overrated and I got sick of it very quickly)
Grid - 7.5 (fun game. I play online a fair bit as a bastard crasher which is very fun. Single player career mode is quite fun given the amount of
different tracks and cars. Very arcadey but that suits a guy like me who isn't a car nut)
Oblivion + Expansions - 8 (there are lots of down points in this game and I could never finish it, even though I played a lot of it, because I just got bored simple. Having said that, however, I still give it a very good mark largely due to its immense quantity and there is certainly a lot of quality in there too)
Age Of Empires 3 + Expansions - 7 (just didn't quite reach epic RPG proportions. The campaign never really enticed me and the expansion packs that I recently bought haven't done too much to rekindle any interest. Online play is just about all I'd do these days and it's hard to find a good game)
Assassin's Creed - 2 (terrible game. It looks great and runs very well IMO but it's still a pathetic game. There is little in terms of gameplay and the story is pathetic. The modern, sci-fi element doesn't go down well with me either. There is no emotion. The 2 points are pretty much just for good graphics)
Crysis - 8 (amazing game up until the alien bit which I've never been able to get through because it completely dies at that point. Online is fun but not what it could have been and seems to be rather dead these days. Extra points for amazing graphics but everyone already knows that)
STALKER - 5.5 (I was really looking forward to this game. It has the kind of background and theme that I'd love but it's so darn buggy with a very incomplete feel to it. It's a shame because I'd have loved to be able to get through it so I could play the new game coming out. Some of the worst AI I've ever seen)
Supreme Commander + Expansion - 8 (It's fun but has terrible performance and just doesn't quite get to the top. It's just about the best RPG on offer at the moment though, but I quite like the grand scale)

One of the funniest games I've ever played. I heard a rumour that the portal gun will be in Half Life 2 - Episode 3!!!

Well don't give away any spoilers because I'm only half way through Episode One which I've finally gotten around to playing. I've clocked HL 2 about 3-4 times now though.
I haven't heard anything specific about Episode Three. There is most likely stuff out there but I don't want to in case of spoilers. I was always under the impression that a trilogy was being made of episodes.

From what I understand, Ep 3 will be on the "insert random colour here" Box, along with Left 4 Dead, Portal 2 and potentially CS (this is for 360 and PC, but I'm sure will be also be PS3).
Not sure about the when and how with PS3 as at this stage Left 4 Dead is a PC / 360 exclusive.
ps3 will probably get a half baked version like they did for the orange box (possibly longest loading times in games history!.......very slight exaggeration.)
and i will probs shit my pants playing left for dead. (if it actually does come to ps3...like i expect it will.)
scary movies i will yawn through....scary games i jump like crazy!
i mean i don't know if you've played uncharted but even the end of that i was shit scared with those fast spanish zombie dudes lmao

Horror games don't bother me, I've been playing them for years.

when the trophy patch comes out for it i will play it again for sure

I'm pretty meh about achievements and trophies. On 360, I get them if I get them in the course of playing / finishing the game, but I don't wh0re them.
Unchartered is definitely worth a few play throughs

Uncharted is one of those games I tend to forget because I've got so many other games. Such a brilliant game in every sense. I'll play through again soon.
The 1 flaw I found with the game, which was in no way a major issue, was the hit detection felt off.
It'd be saying I'm getting hit from the left, but I was actually getting hit from straight on.
