Death Proof underrated as per usual. One of his most enjoyable for mine.
It is a really good film, I've loved it since cinemas. It is just that everything else is better. I agree his filmography as a whole is consistently an event.

Jackie brown is worth watching for Samuel l Jackson’s performance alone.

Lol, but you only rated it in the middle pack? :p

1. Pulp Fiction - gold standard film. Absolutely amazing style and intense from beginning to end. 10/10
2. Kill Bill vol 1. - was an epic film and left me questioning if it was his best yet. A bit of cheesey Uma acting, though. 9/10
3. Inglorious Basterds - Enjoyable, intense at times, madcap at others. Probably my favourite in terms of characters. 8.5/10
4. Jackie Brown - slick and a nice story film. Actually feel it's his most underrated effort. 8/10
5. Reservoir Dogs - trendy as, has some great moments but overall can be a bit bland. Was a great launching off point. 7.5/10
6. Kill Bill vol 2. - disappointing for mine. Has some great scenes but the last act of the film really lets it down. 7/10
7. Django Unchained - solid but unspectacular. A bit self indulgent near the end. Not one that's a big re-watch for me. 6.5/10
8. Hateful 8 - was ok. If I'm inclined to do a Tarantino binge, I'll re-watch. Maybe when my kids are old enough. 6/10
9. Death Proof - was bored with this. I probably should re-watch but I just have no motivation. Kind of just left with a feeling of "Is that it?" 5/10

Haven't seen OUATIH yet.

No rating or love for “The man from Hollywood” which was one of the acts in Four Rooms? That was pretty good too.

Pulp Fivtion number 1 for me. Did quite enjoy Jackie Brown and Django as well.

Haha, it still got an 8. When doing the list I couldn't justify putting it above Reservoir Dogs which is just a classic. Steve Buscemi.

For me ratings differ slightly from enjoyableness and rewatchability, in that regard I'd have it above Reservoir Dogs.

I was just surprised when I saw the lower rating for Death Proof on imdb and RT etc, I loved it and assumed it would be rated high like most of QTs work.

I did get to see it in the US as a part of the original Grindhouse double feature which perhaps helped my appreciation - the slow paced QT dialogue heavy approach was such a refreshing change of pace after the OTT violence of Planet Terror, and worked really well. One of the most satisfying endings to a revenge plot too.

Pulp Fiction= Very Good
Hateful 8 = I liked this movie
Django Unchained = this was good two

There the only ones I have seen ...good mixture of humor..drama and some bizarre stuff. I was entertained but certainly not in an intellectual way.

It seems reasonably common for people to have watched all his movies. That's probably rare for directors that have made more than just a few, and is a testament to the quality he has produced over the years. I can't think of another director where I've watched all his/her work. If I made a similar list for other great directors, like Ridley Scott or Francis Ford Coppola, there would be some really high ratings but plenty of gaps.

Who else have you watched all or most of their work?

The only Ridley Scott film I haven't seen is 1492: Conquest of Paradise. Robin Hood is his least precious but still an easy 6/10. That's 24/25, and I've seen most of them several times. I'd give at least 20 of them 7/10 or higher. Scorsese has comparable reliability, of the 22 fictional features I've seen (almost all of them) the only one I wouldn't give at least a 7/10 is New York, New York.

I've seen everything Peter Weir has done, including his shorts. His features are all decent like Tarantino, but he has a couple more. Weir's worst once he got going in the early 70s was still pretty great.
