I was talking about public perception, and its my fault for not clarifying that.

No Melbourne fans had real faith in Daniher at that point. Well, maybe a few but it wasn't widespread. How did YOU feel about Frawls at the time?
Yeah wasn't a big fan at all. The two guys I know who recruited him both told me 'don't worry, he will be a gun, he just can't kick'. Looks like they were on the money.

Having said that I saw Reiwoldt play in the grandfinal down in Tassie and I thought he was hopeless at the time, I just couldn't understand what the fuss was about. Geez how wrong I was about that, I guess thats why I'm not a recruiter.

Took him until he was nearly 21 before he started playing good footy.
Hence there's no reason Henderson couldn't go from playing solid AFL to a Reid-like level when Reid basically went from VFL level to one of the competitions better defenders; is there?

Not to mention the fact Watts has kicked more goals than Henderson already.
All of his year 2 games and almost all of his year 4 games have been played in defence. Has played about 30 of his 49 games as a forward.

So he has kicked 31 goals from 30 odd games forward, compared to 33 goals from 40 games forward for Watts.

Don't forget the games that Watts played on the wing and in the backline; no doubt you'd remind us of this if we were arguing about who the better KPP is.

J Brown is the only forward who clearly beat Hurley, Totally over powered him, no other forward has beaten him.
Can't wait for Hurley vs Reid match ups. 1 on 1 Hurley is a beast.

And I would have

1. Hurley
2. Watts
3. Reid
4. Hendo

reason I would take Hurley and Then Watts they are playing forward and could rip it up as defenders, so you would always have the option to throw them back. being a forward is much more difficult, as Reid and Hendo both failed as forward and have since been pretty good in defence.
Reid didn't fail as a forward he had 1 poor kick for goal due to nerves and that shot his confidence so MM approached him about having a crack in defence and he killed it.

I have no doubt Reid could go forward now and be a gun, his reading of the play and marking are brilliant and his goal kicking now he has settled would be much better than a nervous 18/19 y.o.

Watts has played more in the midfield and backline than up forward, actually.
