Sorry to steal the concept from Kahuna but I thought it would be interesting to rate and compare what the WWE currently view as the big 3 (apart from their old stalwarts).

Use this system:
1. Ring Skills Rate out of 40
2. Charisma/mic skills out of 30
3. Potential out of 30

Add up to get a rating out of 100.

My ratings:

John Cena

1. Ring Skills - 24 - Average standard quality, not too bad not too good. Can make a match exciting and tell a good in-ring story though.
2. Charisma/Mic skills - 26 - Full marks for charisma but he hasn't yet shown intensity to carry a good feud.
3. Potential - Plenty of time to improve ring skills and to rework his character. - 26

76/100.

Batista

1. 33/40 - Pretty good. But alot of this is marketability.
2. 25/30 - Good but not the best in this regard.
3. 12/30 - Could still have a few years in him but he is around 40.

70/100

Randy Orton
1. 34/40 - Very good except for his rest holds. Not a big load of moves but is very good in epic matches.
2. 25/30 - Great but as a face he got stale. He doesn't need to mention Eddie to get heat, I don't know why WWE think so though.
3. 28/30

87/100

Thoughts?

No problems.

Cena 87/100
Wrestling Skill. Well in the WWE we have only see a few basic moves from Cena he doesn't have a wide move set which gets really annoying seeing him in the main events all the time. He is getting better lately with doing a few different moves but still lacks in the ring. 30/40

Charisma/mic skills He would have got full marks when he was rapping on Smackdown he was very confident arrogant which made us ALL like him but he has certanly dropped off in the time he has been on Raw. He can still cut a good promo. 27/30

Potential He is still young and has time to become better in the ring. If the WWE use him correctly he can be one of the best of the decade. 30/30

Batista 74/100
Ring Skills He is very dominate in the ring and has some good power moves. He isn't as good when he is taking the punishment he only looks good in the ring when he is dominating. I believe he needs to get a submission finisher that would make him the complete package. 35/40

Charisma/Mic skills This really lets him down he is really bad on the mic but he does have a high charima which helps him a bit. 20/30

Potential Well he is ageing and coming back from a major surgery he will never he as good as he used to and will always have a problem area. I doubt whether he will be there in 5 years. 19/30

Randy Orton 94/100
Ring Skills Solid in the ring can do some very good moves. Still lacks some good half way through the match moves like Suplex's and such. He has a very good finsiher that he executes to perfection most of the time. He had a great fued with Taker and they put on some great matches. He can only get better. 38/40

Charisma Mic Skills He isnt the best on the mic but he sure as hell can cut a good promo and he will go where over people won't. His confidence is great be believes in himself immensly which a great thing for a wrestler. 28/30

Potential Will go down as one of the greatest of all time if he continues the way he is going. He was it all now all the WWE has to do is not f*** him up somehow like they do with everyone else. A few marks off as I think he is injury prone. 28/30

1. Ring Skills Rate out of 40
2. Charisma/mic skills out of 30
3. Potential out of 30

A) JOHN CENA

IN-RING: 15/40- Awaful to watch and a very annoying type of wrestler that we have had to endure as champion for so long.

MIC:18/30- Good at the beggining, very stale now. Only so much rap I can take.

POTENTIAL: 23/30- Don't think he can be as good as Orton but a good upper- mid card.

Total: 56/100

B) BATISTA

IN RING: 26/40-Improved in-ring whilst champ, but a limited move set.

MIC: 20/30- Improved but needs a catch phrase

POTENTIAL- 14/30- His age will count against him, at 38 he hasn't got many full-years left. Short-term yes though.

TOTAL: 60/100

C) RANDY ORTON

IN-RING: 37/40- Has everything but probally just needs a submission move.

MIC: 25/30- Very good and improving each day

POTENTIAL: 30/30- He will be the face of the company when HHH retires.

TOTAL: 92/100

Batista
Ring Skills: 35/40 - Although his moves are limited, the current moves he has suite him as they 'destroy' all that oppose him
Charisma/mic skills: 25/30 - Turn the clock back a year and i would have given him a 15. He has now been given the opportunity to talk his mind as to the time he was part of Evolution and improves every time hes on the mic (watch NWO)
Potential: 30/30 - Hes around 40, same age as HBK and Taker, but with his fan base and popularity building, he can be around for another 5 years.

Overall: 90/100

Cena
Ring Skills: 27/40 - Okay, people say he cant wrestle, that his moves $uck, but ill give him credit for trying to be original and trying to mold a type of moveset that hasnt really been seen. Another thing to point out is that the reason why his moves may lack this and that is because they are designed to suite his gimmick - cant really blame him for trying i guess
Charisma/mic skills: 27/30 – would have given him 40/40 if he was still rapping before his matches – take a look at his 2003 era (DR of thuganomics)
Potential: 25/30 or 30/30 – might be forced to change his style and go heel – this either makes him or breaks him. If he stays the same…. Well same thing

Overall: 79/100 or 84/100

Orton
Ring Skills: 38/40 – Cant see anything wrong with his moves. His RKO can come outta nowhere which makes him unpredictable and exciting (take a look at summerslam 2004 where he beat benoit, RKO came from nowhere).
Charisma/mic skills: 26/30 – knows how to pi$s off the crowd as a heel, doesn’t need to degrade himself by getting cheap heel by referencing to guerrero. Did not give him a 40/40 due to his lack of getting fans when a face but does know how to pi$s them off
Potential: 30/30 – turning 26, thats another 14+ years assuming he is wrestling as long as the likes of taker, hbk and batista have been.

Overall: 94

Batista(37 or 40????, 6' 5", 317lb) Having only recently come into big time wrestling he is supremely fit and fresh for another 4-5 good years at the top.
Has most of the skills and charisma to handle being champion and draw the fans like WWE demands. Rate him an overall 90.

Randy Orton(25, 6' 5*, 265 lb) is a magnificient specimen, is well managed and prepared and is mature both physically and mentally beyond his years. Rate him 85.

John Cena(28, 6' 1", 248 lb) has the look and is tremendous at working a huge crowd or in a one-on-one confrontation. Does not have the size and physique of the other two and is less convincing with his ring work. Rate him 75.

As good as The Undertaker and HHH have been they are now past it physically. Still great acts and awesome individuals.

I cant be bothered doin the whole rating thing so ill sum it up like this

Batista - I see him having a decent run as champ when he returns. I dunno how credible he could be as a heel unless they make him a monster like brock which is likely. As a face they may run out of heel opponents for him. His getting on in life so Id say his got 3 years on top left, but with the drug testing it will be interesting to see how much size he loses. He has a great persona and is decent in the ring for a big man

Cena - I dont know what else they can do with him. I can see him being a crossover star and leaving the business. He would be a lot better as a heel or tweener where he doesnt have to be corny, problem is he doesnt have enough offence to control a match like a heel. Has unlimited potential, needs to develop his arsenal and they need to let him be himself

Orton - Guy has the look and the ability. I think he has the most potential out of the three. Needs to remain heel and develop his own persona rather than the typical cliche WWE heel methods. But I see him being at the top of the business for many years to come. He has crossover potential too.

No as I said I stole the points system off you ;)

To put it in perspective here is easily the greatest wrestler in WWE.

Kurt Angle:
Ring Work: 40/40 - Perfect except his latest injury restricts him slightly when it comes to epic matches and bumps.
Charisma/Mic: 29/30 - Perhaps a little harsh but as a face his charisma is just a little below the likes of Austin and Rock in their primes.
Potential: 25/30 - I see potential as if they can reach the top, or if at the top if they can stay there for a while, I don't see many reasons why he can't
94/100.
Now while Randy Orton may get around that, let's not forget about the potential which is a hard thing to judge.
